    It's a done deal.

    Galatasaray have notified the Stock Market that they have reached an agreement with Albert Riera.

    Galatasaray will pay Olympiakos €3M, €2M of which is paid the day the player signs the deal, and the remaining €1M will be paid in 2 installments of €500k in January 2012 and July 2012.

    Albert Riera is going to sign a 3+1 year contract, getting €2.7M in his first season, €2.9M in his second, €2.9M in his third and €3M in his additional year if his contract is extended.

    Riera's contract will be extended by default if he plays 20 league games in his third season. He will also get €7,5k per game for his full 90 minutes.

    I know that this is going to sound CRAZY, but what are the chances that Ronaldinho coming to us?

    My brother in law says that LA Galaxy is looking on paying him 120mill and ofcourse there are reposrts that he might be going back to Brazil...

    Anyone?

    Bottom line to all of this "transfer crap" that happens is that in Greece we don't have anything to back up and to promote our academy programs... We have some great young talent that will give their heart and soul on the field and we just shove them to the curb, and they get lost.

    I'm getting caught up in the hype craze myself.. And I need to stop.

    I'm not going to believe anything till I see the player come to Greece to sign.

    Now as far as Camoragi (if I spelled that correctly) good signing and hope he adds something to the team..

    Gattuso I can understand..... But I can't figure out why we need Baptista? :blink:

    Diogo / Mitroglou / Derbyshire... There's 3 fwd's right there do we really need another "high paying" fwd? (unless it's Drogba or something like that)

    What we need to bulk up on is defense.. I would like to see another defenseman or a midfielder come on in to the team..

    I was just looking at the UEFA site and we have our 1st EUROPA League game July 15th vs Besa (Albania)

    Are we even thinking about that game or is our focus on this coach crap? It's a damn shame that a team like this has not come to a conclusion about who's going to be on the bench leading these players...

    Actually I would like to see Diogo go...

    I believe that he's done.. I don't think that we're going to see that "fire, that spark" that he had a year and a half ago..

    according to Sport Fm Fernandinho agreed with olympiakos for coming in january to the team. What I dont get is if they agreed this fast after the deadline why couldnt they agree before

    Dude it's one of those back end deals that only players and managers will EVER know...

    WHat I don't understand is that the heck is the difference if he come now or later???

    I hear ya... It's tough for us to say anything about this... I bet you there are millions different scenarios and I'm preety sure that Kokallis and company have gone thorugh them... I'll be honest w/ you I'm fine w/ the left half position to be as is... What we need is to have our team healthy for the big matches and that's it.. the rest will work itself out and Kespagia is going to have to figure it out. That's why he's there and he has to make the best of it. I do think that Zairi is great at Left Half and when Galletti starts playing again we're going to be just fine... We need to worry about making defensice mistakes and more importantly, scoring.. If we do that I see another double w/ a better European run.

    Let me ask you guys this....

    Would you prefer our club go after a player that's going to be on a LOAN basis or someone we can buy outright??? I realize that it's based on a the player that's available but most of the time I see that players that are on loan are the "better" ones if you can't afford the ones that are on sale....

    Olympiacos DEFINITELY needs a couple more signings and I believe that they will. I don't think that they are looking for the "blockbuster" signing this year..

    The more greek players you get the better it is. There are plenty good greek keepers that are never given a chance.

    Ok I read in the front pages of the Greek Newspapers that we're looking for a GK. I completely back up this transfer by the way - Nikopolidis is done with -

    Some players that have come up is the GK for the Turkish National Team and Kameni from France (which I like).

    Goalkeepers are a rare breed and I see what we're trying to do, but don't we have any decent GK's in Greece? I'm preety sure that we can find a "home-grown" player and make him the next (young) Nikolopidis and Chalkias.

    What do you guys think? :blink:
