This is a very promising result. We can be disappointed given the likelihood we had to win before Tachtsidis was sent off, but if you were to tell me we would be 1-1 against Belgium this morning, I would've considered that a great outcome. Our defense proved itself against one of Europe's best attacks (even without their two stars).

We did not look equal to Belgium. It was only our CBs that kept our heads above water, for loooong periods of time. Tzavellas should have been subbed out at halftime, with Stafylidis shifting into LB. It was GUARANTEED that Tzavellas would have gotten another card. I mean come on, you could see it coming from a mile away. Surprisingly good performance by team overall, though, I thought. As is often the case, if you had told me yesterday that we'd get a draw out of this match then I would have been ecstatic. But losing the win with 1 minute to go? Ugh that stings.

No Hazard and no De Bruyne is a big obvious plus for us. But they still have incredible depth in the attacking 3rd. Mirallas, Mertens, Carrasco; 2 of those 3 to start still looks pretty good. Add nainggolan, witsel most likely dembele and that midfield is miles ahead of ours. We all know that we are gonna play defensive and need to have a very good defensive game, Kapino (if he gets the nod) will need to have a big game. As I said earlier we are gonna need someone with pace to support Mitro and Fortounis when we do get a chance to break. Someone who is a direct runner and will be dangerous in space. Looking at our squad Gianniota is the only one that really fills that description. So for me, he has to start. (Manthati might also fit this role but no way he gets a start) Sucks the game isn't on TV for us in Australia, ESPN is showing portugal-Hungary and France-Luxembourg instead -.-

Midfield is a lock to start with Samaris, Maniatis (long ranger goal man), Fortounis and Stafy. Zeca won't start as it is his first game. Siopis won't either as he is being brought through with caution. Look out for Tziolis to come on (65th) and do what he does best, Make An Impact like a Tornado!!

it's frustrating how we can't hold onto the ball for 30 seconds but we do have one of the best defenses in the world. we're still in the drivers seat tho that's the good thing

Dude everyone knows our chances of qualifying are limited. But even reaching the Play offs is a whole new upgrade from Euro 2016 qualification. Rome was not built in a day.

Skai reporter said Tachts was used only to play Fellaini in the midfield coz he is massive, and Witsel wins battles as well. I know tachtsi wasnt very good overall today but I think we did win the midfield.

The ref just took 1st place away from us. Piece of s%$#!. The boys played there asses of and played rock solid defense and very organized in the back.. we deserved a lot better. we frustrated the hell out of Belgium and took advantage of there mistakes. Great job great result but it should have been a win if we had 11 players on the field.

This is a fantastic result, consider the crap Greece have to go through. We are still in second place.

very good half. Defensive rock solid. Sokratis and Manola have been very good. Kept Belgium to just 3 attempts, only one of which was on target. Samaris, taxi and tzavella all guilty of giving the ball away at times which has left us a little open. Only really disappointing thing is the few times we have gone into their half and into a decent attacking position we have been wasteful, bad touches/passes and the Belgians are off again. But hey we didn't go to Brussels to score! No doubt they will come out firing in the 2nd half so we'll have to keep it extremely tight and look for any chance to break

Strong defensive display from us so far, though Stafy has been turned a few times a bit easily. Want to see more of is going forward though, Belgium's left side looks weak so we should try and pressure it.

I'm watching the game at the West Adelaide Hellas club in Adelaide. We need to be better at retaining the ball when we have it!

happy greek Independence day everyone. I have a feeling Belgium will score early and overwhelm us, sadly. Let's hope luck is on our side today.

I don't think formations are anything to get caught up on. A 4-3-3 offensively will transform into a 4-5-1 defensively. A 4-2-3-1 offensively will transform into a 4-5-1 defensively, well should anyway. The team selection is 95% predictable apart from 1 or 2 positions. It's important that Gianniotas, Fourtounis & the 'other wide man' stay very close to Mitroglou when in attack. If we play predictable boring, hit the '9' bullshit with no one around him then Mitroglou will become a liability.

Too early to judge the new coach. As for Angelo, old timers almost always complain about the younger generation although I wouldn't mind someone with his knowledge of the team history in the locker room reminding them who they play for.

Another superb TV series. Trust me, it's awesome.
