  1. Berg just scored for Sweden in their qualifier vs Montenegro. Their 3-1 up, unsurprisingly Zlatan got the other two goals. Here is his goal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeOuHVQ2hoc

  2. I actually think this would be a good deal as well - we get rid of a player who's idea of the club is (rightly or not) poisoned - and telling me he's like Kace, only makes him more appealing. Kace spends about a third of the season suspended anyway, and we will soon have no depth at that position.

  3. Scoccos manager came out and said that the offer they have from AEK is by far the best and will be strongly considered. The problem is Newells doesn't want to let Scocco go, and Scocco hasn't said that he wants to leave. We will see what happens with him. To me, it sounds like his manager is trying to get more money from us to convince him to come, or trying to get Newells to offer more money to get him to stay. If we really want him Melissanidis should send a private jet down to Argentina, pick him up, bring him at the offices of his company Aegean, and he would sign in 5 minutes just like all the other players we've persuaded to sign at Aegean.

  4. PAOK won the Greek Cup final in a penalty shootout 4:3. The game finished in a 0:0 time in regular and extra time. This is the fourth Greek cup for the PAOK girls. They also won 10 Greek championships. GREEK CUP: 2002, 2013, 2014, 2015 GREEK CHAMPIONSHIP: 2002, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015

  5. ^Socratis interview. Interesting how he said, once they lost a couple of matches, that it was very difficult to reverse it. Loss of confidence. Being a team sport, the individuals must have trust and confidence in each other. Which is clearly now a major part of the problem. The only way back is hard work, players who are committed to the cause, prepared to sacrifice and support their teamates, selfless and willing to run hard for 90 mins. Zagorakis was leader not because he was most skillful, fastest. He worked his arse off, got the respect of all the players on the team and that rubbed off on the rest of the team. Coach needs to find those players who willing to do that. Rehagel took a team of nobodies and won the Euro. In his first game in charge, he lost 5-1 to Finland, then 1 month later nearly beat England in England.

  7. At this moment our results are garbage. Real issues with coaching structures, players etc but things can change relatively quickly. This isn't months, but years in the making. I agree we have to take a long term view of things and if that means sacrificing the couple of qualification campaigns then I'm fine with that. we went from an average team in 2002 WC qualifying to topping Euro 2004. I don't really care for these stronger nations. When we draw them in future qualification. Croatia, Switzerland, Sweden, Russia, Denmark, Wales, Belgium, Ukraine, Slovakia, Bosnia and 20 other nations aren't our better. I'd even think England and Holland aren't the team everyone thinks they are. Regardless, dropping in the rankings and drawing stronger opposition is not the problem we need to address. We need to have a serious internal review and stop papering over massive chasms with temporary solutions.

  10. We need to use the next four games to test players like Kaltsas Kourbelis Gianniotas Mantalos Diamantakos Bakakis Petsos and Kolovos to figure out if they will have a future spot on this team. At this point, Stafylidis should still be our LB to gain more experience, same with Samaris and Tachtsidis, all of them need to gain more experience in these 4 meaningless games. We need to build some sort of core to build off of for the World Cup qualifiers. We probably won't qualify for the World Cup but we need to have a solid showing to build momentum for Euro 2020 qualifying... We also need to find the coach of the future ASAP, someone that knows Greek soccer that will rebuild the entire national team set up from u15 to the senior team, we need to find an identity. Michel maybe? Or Ketsbaia??
