  1. Bajewy, the first time I visited Ziaka in 1984 bunch of us, including my parents made it to the top of Orliakas. We had one of my pappou's brothers to guide us to the top. He knew the mountain and the area like the palm of his hand from his experience fighting the Italians and Germans during WW2 and then again during the civil war. It took us about half a day to reach the top. What a great view of the whole area from the top of the mountain. Speaking of Orliakas, one of of our xorianos and a family member wanted to build an observatory at the top of the mountain. He is a Senior Scientist at the University of Chicago and was part of many NASA missions since the 1960's. His name is Thanasis Economou. You can read more about him here: http://news.uchicago.edu/profile/thanasis-economou and here: http://www.panhellenicscholarships.org/thanasis-economou.php Eventually with cooperation from Greek authorities he got the go ahead to proceed with the project. He succeeded in securing funding from the European Commission for the project, but once it was evident that money would be coming in, the Greek government wanted to take over the project. Since then the project is on hold, and I doubt it will ever get build.

  3. Olympiakos chairman to appear before magistrate in June Olympiakos chairman Vangelis Marinakis has been given until the beginning of June before he is questioned by anti-corruption magistrate Giorgos Andreadis, court source have told Kathimerini. Marinakis is one of 16 people alleged to have cooperated to fix the outcome of Greek soccer matches. He denies the charges. Apart from forming a criminal gang, which is a felony, the list of charges against the suspects consists of serial fraud, bribery and attempted blackmail. The last charge relates to an explosion at a bakery owned by referee Petros Constantineas in 2012. Those charged include three officials from the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO), two members of EPO?s refereeing committee, three referees and two chairmen of Super League soccer clubs. The other chairman charged, Levadiakos?s Yiannis Kobotis, gave evidence on Monday. http://www.ekathimerini.com/4dcgi/_w_articles_wsite1_1_27/04/2015_549484

  4. Vangelis Marinakis facing four counts of racketeering SDNA reveals the indictment Marinakis' lawyer received from the investigator and which penalties await if the president of PAE Gavros is proven guilty... In accordance with SDNA's reliable information from the Euelpidon, Vangelis Marinakis has been charged on four counts in the sensational case of "criminal organization" in football, all of which are felonies. In turn, the counts that the president of PAE Gavros faces are the following: 1. Incorporating and directing a criminal organization. 2. Inciting an attempt at extortion. 3. Inciting an outburst/explosion that endangered human life. 4. Inciting bribery/graft aimed at distortion of match scores relevant to betting organizations and achieving said aims. In accordance with what the distinguished lawyer Alexandros Lykourezos said a few days ago, the first count carries a penalty of 10 to 20 years' imprisonment, while the others carry up to 10 years of imprisonment! As we have informed before, Vangelis Marinakis has, via his lawyer, received a deadline to prepare his defense by early June. SDNA is closely following the case of the "criminal organization" and will inform you of each development from the Euelpidon in a timely manner.

  6. Idk I just realized I want to become a professional goalie. If I can just pick a side to fall on, fall on that side, and still get scored on most of the time then the pressure isn't so big to fall to the right side. Maybe It's better to have Anesth lay ontop of the crossbar and let his long ass useless arms dangle down and hopefully he saves something. Idk but when you do everything wrong, dont get scored on out of pure luck and then still get scored on when you do everything right then he's just got to do s%$#! wrong and just hope for the soccer gods to save him each time.

  10. Villa have turned their season around by changing their manager. Sherwood has done a great job so far and I hope they go and beat Arsenal in the FA cup final. Newcastle have done the absolute opposite after changing their manager. They were a decent team under Pardew and in the top half, but now their scrapping for relegation with Carver in charge. Newcastle are one of the least motivated teams I can remember in the EPL, which is very worrying given that they are not safe yet.
