  3. Unfortunately the coach doesn't play on the pitch. I believe we had 6 giveaways (a few that lead to goals), two brainfarts by Tzolakis alone! That is not on the coach. He actually called up or made Zafeiris, Karetsas, Allen (u21), Triantis, select Greece and started Karetsas as a 17yr old. No other Greece coach had the ba**s to do that. It's very typical of us as Greeks to change coaches regularly. Go look at the big four in the Super league. Although he did make some mistakes in his starting lineup selections ie: Kourbelis and Masouras. I dont think it would have changed anything. I think we need some stability instead of constant coaching changes.
  4. This campaign was a complete failure. This was one of the most manageable groups we’ve had in years, yet we were eliminated after the third match. Jovanovich needs to go. Aside from introducing a few young players, what has he actually accomplished? We haven’t qualified for a major tournament in what feels like a lifetime. No one should get a free pass or another chance after results like this.
  5. 1-1. A bonuspoint as Asteras is a top-4 team.
  6. Absolutely he is. He has probably been our most consistent center back this season, not to mention his ability on the ball with his long raking passes opening up teams and creating chances. With Konstantelias also out(hasn't trained fully as of Friday,) as well as Pelkas who would've started instead we are going to be missing a lot of creativity and a lot of quality on the ball.

  8. Michailidis is out with a knee injury. He will be out for one month. Major absence.
  9. The goal is to win by 4 goals so we can finish 7th and play at home against Kifisia and then face Levadeiakos in a home/away semifinal match up. If we finish 8th we will play Atromitos at home and then face Olympiakos in the semifinal.
  10. So EPO is really epic: The Greens play 16:00 EET The Reds play 18:00 EET And we play 20:00 EET so we know what to do to avoid or choose the opponents and path we prefer. What a banana football association.
  11. Tzimas out "for months" due to a knee injury. Unclear if this is an ACL tear - I would think they would say he's out for the whole season if it was already confirmed. Hopefully it is "just" a sprain, though most of these types of sprains are effectively small tears anyway.
  12. Time to get to our winning ways against Aris in our home games this Sunday.

  14. I have updated the above standings to include the PO Triglia - Panaitolikos game, which ended in a 0:0 tie. As a result we dropped to 12th place and we still did not lock in qualification to next stage. If we lose to Marko and PO Triglia beats or ties Olympiakos we will be left out of the top 12 that qualify to next stage. It's an extreme scenario, but it is possible. In our last game against Marko we will decide our playoff fate. If we beat them by 4 goal difference we will finish 7th, If we win by 3 goal difference we will end up in 8th place. Otherwise we will end up in the 9-12 place. Hopefully Marko will show up with their 'B' team and we can run up the goal difference. That's why it was important to keep scoring against Larisa so we could have a better goal difference. Instead we let them score on us. Remaining games to be played on December 17 are: Kavala - Panathinaikos Olympiakos - PO Triglia PAOK - Marko FC Here is the breakdown on the future match ups in the competition: QUARTEFINAL (single game) Game 1: 1st place Team vs winner of 8th - 9th match Game 2: 2st place Team vs winner of 7th - 10th match Game 3: 3st place Team vs winner of 6th - 11th match Game 4: 4st place Team vs winner of 5th - 12th match SEMIFINAL (home/away): Game 1 winner vs Game 4 winner Game 2 winner vs Game 3 winner
  15. Stefanos scored his first goal in the Premier League on Sunday against Forest but was subbed of injured yesterday against Villa. Hurt his knee. Not known yet how severe this is. Fingers crossed.

  17. Wild that we are not out of the running with a measly four points from three games.
  18. What a joke of a game the last 15 minutes of the game was. Constant time wasting by Aris. Serves them right to be punished at the end with the Giakoumakis beauty.
  19. And FT. 1-1. Bad performance. But they did not win at least.
  20. GGGGGOOOOOOAAAALLLLL Giakoumakis. 1-1
  21. Who was that blondie!?
  22. Last subs: Kenny and Ivanusec in for Sastre and Zivkovic.
  23. Yellow for Chatsidis kicking too high.
  24. Giakoumakis and Chatsidis subbed in for Mythou and Despodov.
