The cause of the problem is an upgrade to MySQL 5 (from MySQL 4.1) as the database system that holds the information for the forums. I'll be working on fixing these problems during the day (and beyond, until all things work OK). If anybody's experiencing any problems past today (Wed, Nov. 1) please notify me by posting here or via PM. Thanks and our apologies for any inconvenience. Had to install a separate MySQL server running 4.1 The upgrade to MySQL 5 will be psotponed for the time being until we cover all quirks. Things should be back to normal now.
