Galatasaray play their second leg with Sofia tomorrow evening but this match should be nothing more then just trivial.

I am however worried about our UEFA representatives. None of those three clubs have got off to a good start and each one of them is currently struggling. Let's hope they overcome this soon!

I think GS have a better chance than BJK to advance. Juve will most likely (but not 100% certainly) take the top spot with Sociedad favoured for the 2nd spot. The Spaniards' inexperience in the CL should work against them so GS have a realistic chance. They have to avoid two emotion-draining games against Olympiakos or Sociedad will go through for certain.

As for BJK, I believe they will overtake Sparta Prague but Lazio and Chelsea may prove too strong.

Having said that, let me also say that the ball is round and takes wicked bounces! In other words, all things are possible.

Matchday 1

Besiktas - Lazio

Juventus - Galatasaray

Two Italo-Turkish battles with less pressure on GS as no one expects a decent result from them at Delle Alpi.

A win for BJK will give them a huge boost for the next round.

Lazio are not as strong as in recent years and a home win is a possibility though I am leaning towards an "X" on that one.

"Iyi sanslar" to both clubs!

Besiktas kicks things off tonight and I do expect them to conjure up a decent result. However, they will have to up their game from recent weeks. They've been in cruise mode in the league (still managing maximum points!!) and I don't think it will be enough for Lazio..

Galatasaray have a tougher time but they always seem to produce when the odds are stacked against them. They could well get a point from this one...

BJK ruined their own chances, their strikers were very ineffective! Italian teams doesn't find too many goal chances during the game but when they do, they just don't miss that chance! and that's what happened last night!

Very poor performance, i was expecting a much better result from them!

Tonight, probably, we'll watch GS being trashed by Juve...
