Besiktas Thread

After the appointment of Riza Calimbay as new BJK head coach, the team shows signs of improvement. They defeated Malatyaspor 1-0 after an own goal paved their way and they drew with Genclerbirligi 1-1 after an exchange of goals from Tumer and Tandogan Ali. But the game seems destined to be replayed after both scout and referee reports stated that the ref, Kuddusi Muftuoglu whistled thrice before the Genclerbirligi goal. The first whistle was to grant that the freekick could be taken, the second one was called for the 11-yard violation by BJK captain Tayfur and the third one was to officiate the goal after the ball went in! These incidents mean that the ref stopped the game after the violation but as the ball went in a second later, he officiated the goal... The Football Federation will decide if this is a violation of rule or not and if they decide that it is a violation, the game will be replayed, probably on March 2, 2005...

In a press conference yesterday, Genclerbirligi captain and former Besiktas player Umit Bozkurt said that they were the team whose rights had been deflated but they did not moan as their rivals. Bozkurt also added that this sort of crying did not suit such a big club as Besiktas...

It was not 'crying' as the director from Genclerbirligi SEEMS to want to label Besiktas members as doing. After the embarassing dicplay of officiating in the Malatyaspor match last week in which an obvious penalty was NOT called (when Fenerbahce gets these calls in bunches every week), this past week was even worse. It is about time something is done to correct their incompetence! You just can't blow a whistle and expect players to ignore it and continue on, for if they FOLLOW the rules of the game, play stops after a whistle for infraction! Maybe if Gencler was FIGHTING for a championship, THEN they would be more inclined to understand. However, all they want is publicity.

All I want is FAIR and EQUITABLE referee decisions during a game. BE CONSISTENT, no matter WHO wins!!!

En buyuk Besiktas

The last game of the year for Besiktas was played in Izmir against Goztepe in the Turkish FA Cup. The FA Cup is really important for Besiktas this year for the reason that, maybe in order to play in European cup next season, Besiktas will have to win the cup. Besiktas won the game with the goal of Veysel, who didn't have too much chance of playing in the team but made himself today stay in the Besiktas team. The FA cup's this round is just one leg game, so Besiktas is now qualified to the next round...

Here is the goal

I was at that game, and I had to pay 40 YTL as compared to 10 YTL for Goztepe fans! What a crock!

The game was on a pretty bad field... Alsancak Stadyum is a dump, and they should have played in Ataturk Stadyum instead! I will probably get my chance to fly to Istanbul to see BJK play again soon. Izmir isn't exactly a place to see them play, because only Denilzispor is near!

We dominated Goztepe, and yet we only won 1-0... it spoke volumes when we lost to Konyaspor later. Such is life! :(

Riza will win the day, and make us the second half powerhouse we should be!

Fenerbahce is slipping, and they have lost to the top 5 teams twice. They are ripe for picking from the top. I would not be suprised if they finished third to us and Galatasaray. Their fans are overconfident; perfect for our team to take over.

mate, welcome to the forums...

you see Fener behind us and BJK??? Well, they definitely are going to fall behind us but you guyz, from twelve pts back with fourteen to go... Not to undermine your team, but it's quite impossible... And don't forget a Senol Gunes-inspired Trabzonspor are also in it!!!

Besiktas to continue winning series at Gaziantep..

Besiktas kept the winning serie in Turkish Super League against Gaziantep Spor at Gaziantep Stadium. Besiktas found the goal in the early minutes of the game by the quick move of Veysel. Besiktas kept playing well enough to win until the end of the game. Besiktas' Veteran Goalkeeper Cordoba had a very well performance as well against Antep. Other than the game the most important thing was the score and the win of three points, Besiktas needs to keep winning the games in order to have a hope to play in Champions League for next season or maybe even to be the champion of Turkish Super League as players started to mention a lot.. Who knows? Maybe It's not a dream anymore..

You forget the replay of the Genc match sometime later on in the season... we are actually MISSING a game on the leaders, and since Fener and GS TIED during that week, AND we get three points if we win, then that is automatically 3 additional points to our total, cutting the deficit to *11* with 14 games left to go. Blowing 7 goals against a Kayserispor when you can't beat the top teams in the league doesn't mean anything. A 1-2 record vs. the Big Three is very telling, and so we shall see!

Trabzonspor looked invincible early, but they haven't been the same since losing to Fener I'm afraid...

actually he was given a 3-game ban but SOMEHOW it was lessened to one game after the appeal court declared the incident as 'unintentional'... Carew also stated afterwards that he had a flu before thee Sakaryaspor game and he did not want to spit at Sakaryaspor-player Ak Aytac who we see in the picture. He defended himself as it was a totally coincidetial event and SOMEHOW the jury found him right!!!

I really can not understand this! BESIKTAS players, fans and staff ALWAYS cry but the decisions are ALWAYS on their side. What are they crying for?! They lost to us 0-1 in a game they had only one half-chance and yet they blame the ref for not sending off Neco, Song or Tomas. But none of them talk about their 'serial killers in defence'... If I tell you that BESIKTAS players received 6 yellows vs Galatasaray, that can tell the whole story! Also one should not forget that our new ace FerraRIBERY was taken to hospital after a very "normal" Ronaldo tackle...

Besiktas fans... see the truth! your team IS crap and ou have a Board of Directors who makes players and fans shout at referees whenever your team loses a point or two! And you have to get rid of the CARSI family. They are terrorizing BJK-crowds and it has been going on for 4 or 5 years... By the way, why do most fans adore ALEN MAKARIAN??? He looks like a terrorist!!!

like a little kid..ah azize vah azize

seems that AZIZE the bastard seems to have exagerated things again! Here are some mean-to-prove pearls:

- It was a total coincidence for GALATASARAY to have won the UEFA cup. They nowhere near deserved it!

- When you do not win from 0-3 to 4-3, it is not HISTORY. BESIKTAS has not written anything worthy of notebooks. What if they played with a striker in goal?

- We'll be the most successful Turkish club in Europe in two seasons and I promise to land a European trophy in our centennial at 2007.

... ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THIS GAY!

Besiktas has reported yesterday that they have officially signed contracts with Tandogan Ali of Genclerbirligi and Dursun Sevket Adem of Ankaragucu. Tandogan is one of the paciest players in the League and made a total of 58 appearances for Gencler in the last two seasons. Adem is a well-motivated ambitious player and will very probably fit that problemous left-channel of Besiktas... Fenerbahce was also interested in the player last year but his price tag of €3M was a huge obstacle. Both players joined on 2+1 year contracts on free transfers.

Where's MANNY & BLACKEAGLE??? They dropped lost as the season came to a close... :(

BJK in bid for BISCAN

Besiktas JK Istanbul approached Igor Biscan of Liverpool and is believed to have offered him a totally-unrejectable contract of €4M per season and a total of 500k bonus. Let's see what happens. Player's agent stated that his client would like to join a Serie A side.
