Unfortunately, even though Germany leads the way, still we don't have as many fans as I at least thought we had. I realized than when we played against Schalke in 2013. A very important game at the time, we got something like 3,000 tickets and we didn't sell out. I was shocked. And when considering that at least half of the fans flew from Greece, I realized the PAOK fans in Germany are a few hundreds, a thousand maximum. And you can tell by how small the fan clubs are there. Plus an incident when Poikilidis and PAE went there to gather money and the whole thing ended a huge fiasko.

I would say that fan club members are around the 1,000 mark. You then have all the other fans who are not members. I would put the total number around the 2,500 mark.

Finally PAE PAOK is very disappointed from the subscriptions outside of Greece. They were expecting bigger numbers. I think as long as all the illegal IPTV services have access to the PAOK TV stream, I would not expect the foreign subscriptions to improve.

The website is not so user friendly, I put in my country which is not Greece, and they still had mandatory fields like AFM and some other info that only Greek citizens have, so I was not able to buy a one time subscription for this weeks derby.

I would be fascinated to learn how many people watch it. I have no context for how popular this may be for a non-Greek audience. My suspicion is, not very.

I think for casual fans, you are correct. For "die hard" football fans, if you could watch a game between the #1 v #2 Greek sides, which consist of a pretty well known club in Europe because of so many CL/EL participations, and a club that's gotten a lot of exposure thanks to proliferation of Twitter/Instagram snippets of Toumba's atmosphere the last 3-5 years ... those fans will flip it on if they are channel surfing and stay tuned if it's entertaining. I've had Laola1.tv and BeIN+ subscriptions before and I can tell you, I've watched some random South American derbies for no reason other than I recognized it was a meaningful ...

I subscribed while being in Greece and it didn't ask me for this stuff. sure you weren't on pornhub or something?

No it was from Dhmera group, when you ask for a receipt, that info is required. Have a look for yourself, speaking of pornhub one of my all time faves:

Looks like for next season PAOK TV is signing a deal with Amazon. Not details were announced, but most likely it means that the games might be included on Amazon Prime and via Firestick.
