After the game against Panathinaikos and despite the good win, the problem remains. WE HAVE NO PLAYERS TO SCORE. Akpom, Swiderski are mediocre. Biseswar and Pelkas are horrible. Limnios shits the bed most of the time. Lambrou is not there yet (even though I love his energy). Mauricio-Douglas-Esiti just never score this year. Thank God Misic and Vieirinha exists and they either score or give assists. The rest are just incompetent scoring a goal this year. Ah, and Jaba or Stoch same as the rest.

Matos is not playing the way he was last season because Ferreira changed the teams defensive strategy. He is staying back because this season Giannoulis is playing the way Matos played past seasons.

I agree, the rule is a joke I haven't heard of another league in the world where you can choose who your suspended against.

Edit: Squad announced Pelkas left out, seems he has a knock nothing major. El Kaddouri back for the first time in 2020. Interesting to see if Ferreira goes with Vierinha at full-back or on the wing.

I agree the rule is a bit odd.  I guess it gives teams flexibility.  Moving to the side a little, what I don’t get is why there are even bans for getting “x” number of cards.  Who cares ?  If a team wants to risk getting stacks of yellow cards each game then they also risk getting more reds.  That should be incentive enough.  Anyway ...

As to OFI resting half their squad, I guess they figure the chance of getting a point is low so might as well rest their players and use them in the next game.  Not cool but I get it.

As for Vieirinha at RB, not if pash has anything to say about it. ?

The thing is that when teams do it against Olympiakos we instantly jump and start pointing fingers. In fact I am sure that even the choosing which games to sit out rule no doubt was introduced to benefit Olympiakos. We have reached a point where we think everything is made/done to benefit them. That is when you know football is on its last knees.

I have no doubt the current "pick a game out of the next 4 games" system was devised to benefit the big boys.  In this case OFI is using it to their own perceived benefit.  It is what it is even though it has a bad smell to it.
