I think our GK needs to start sitting out but God knows it won't be this name.

                  --Pashalakis--

--Soares--Varela--Crespo--Giannoulis--

        --Esiti---                        -Misic--

--Jaba--                                  --Biseswar--

             --Swiderski--Akpom--

-edit- and yeah I know Jaba has not looked good. I'd be totally fine with Limnios starting there.

I know he hasn't been making the squads so hard to say he should start but no harm in starting Lamprou. Jaba has been poor this season but holds his spot, we have depth on the wings with Lamprou, Stoch and Limnios (who I don't want to see start either) It's not working, we have a deep squad throw the magnets around let's see what happens. Won't be long a few more dropped points and the rumblings will start calling for Abel's head.

This is a critical moment. It has been ever since we got eliminated by Slovan. The coach is scattered, his answers are complete nonsense, and his actions even worse. I think we shouldn't fire him, but he needs to do something to improve the team. Against AEK it will be a huge crash test. If the defense continues the same route, we are going to lose for sure. In that sense, I would be happy with a tie. The 4-4-2, which is not a 4-4-2 cannot be our formation against AEK. Only Pelkas can do what needs to be done for the second striker position. No Jaba/Biseswar/Swiderski can do the same. I would say put three in the midfield. Esiti/Misic/El Kaddouri or Esiti/Douglas/Misic.

I do think you're right - we need to reinforce that midfield. Pelkas is the only guy we have who could possibly make that other style work as a second striker, and he's hurt.

Failing that, even a traditional 4-4-2 would be better; with the wingers playing very deep. They have the legs for it.

Yeah. Very strange game, too - Misic has been on the wing for a while now, and Giannoulis has seen very little of the ball. Swiderski has been pretty decent IMO

If Pelkas had made the missed passes Biseswar had today, you'd all be calling for his head ADMIT IT!!
