Pathetic performance. Big changes need to be made if they want to be on par with Olympiakos in Europe.

Don't agree with your first analysis. Oké. Should have played better but the keeper had some big saves, we missed some goals by a few centimeters, and I don't get it that "the cosa nostra" (as shown on a banner that was replaced in the second half for the famous Macedonia is one etc.) does not use VAR in PO. This play-off is just as important for teams in EL as it is for teams in CL.

Today (and in the previous game) the team with the lucky bounces managed to qualify to the next stage. We just did not have luck today which was evident in the last few minutes of the game.

Now it's the championship and the cup only. I expect in the next couple day a sale of one or two players. Also don't expect any substantial transfers happening.

At the highest levels you have to make your own luck, that's not an adequate excuse imo.

The problem with the 442 is we don't have the central mids to run and cover box to box when we do not have possession. Pelkas has played poorly but the dude basically drops back and acts as a box-to-box midfielder so he's spending loads of energy, isn't in the advanced positions he needs to be to be effective, and is gassed by the 65'. Omar is also not built for that at all he commits tragically inept fouls because he does not know how to defend.

Agree Abel takes some blame here because he needed to adjust his system to the personnel until he could get his type players. His entire system is based on the defend-by-having-the-ball, which we are not built to run.

Under no circumstances should we concede 2 goals at home to a team like this.
