pash
We have a lot of absences for this one - Jaba, El Kaddouri, Pelkas, Wernbloom (duh). Vieirinha must be exhausted but if I had my druthers, I'd start him on the wing. --Pashalakis-- --Matos--Varela--Crespo--Giannoulis-- --Mauricio--Oliveira-- --Vieirinha--Biseswar--Henrique-- --Akpom-- The other games have potential pitfalls, but realistically this is our last truly tough game in the league this season. Good thing their two best players won't be on the field, and we're at home.
Bananas
Karelis ? Ok, I’m just kidding.
pash
I think Karelis is a pretty good player; it's unfortunate that whatever he does, he can't compete with the other two. Sad that he probably won't play another minute for us.
Bananas
Add to that Koulouris and now Lambrou will potentially be back next season and Karelis has virtually no chance of being bought by us after this loan expires
pash
Lamprou is essentially like Mistakidis in that he's a winger that can play as a second striker, right? In that case, yeah, I agree. What might "save" Karelis's chances (if he even would accept being third choice) is the possibility of Koulouris being sold in the summer. If we get an offer in the 5-7mm range, I would probably jump on it personally. I think spending that money on a solid midfielder - be it Oliveira or someone else - is more of a necessity in terms of doing well in Europe (over a striker). Yiankos
12 wins and 7 losses? Probably Atromitos is the most successful team in Toumba.
pash
Was that 3-4 loss, the one where Ivic went off on being betrayed by CERTAIN PEOPLE (*cough*tzavellas*cough*)? Or was that vs Asteras.
BostonThanatos
I think we're solid in the striker position. Akpom and Swidersky are really good. Not to mention we have so many other guys ppicking up the slack. I don't see us having much trouble in this match.

As for Karelis, I don't think he will play for again either unless we have unjuries to Akpom/Swiderski. There is no way we will sign him after his loan ends. pash
It was so dramatic. Midnight meetings at the stadium...Michel siding with Ivic...the team eventually rebounding and completely going on a tear...ahh, memories
Blackhawk
The clowns at EPO decided to bring refs from Azerbaijan for this game. Not sure what they are thinking, but they can't really be as bad as the Greek refs.

And probably this will stay so the next years. For those who like trivia: . . . . It was Tofiq Bachramov. Famous for his decision in the 1966 final (as a linesman though). Blackhawk
In 1966 Bachramov was representing Soviet Union, not Azerbaijan. Let's see what kind of a "frouto" they dragged in all the way from Asia this time.

Yiankos
Because Leonid Brezhnev (general secretary of the communist part, 1964-1982) will come out of his grave and kick your ass for not acknowledging Soviet Union!

Blackhawk
Looks like Limnios is fit and will be available. Atromitos will be missing Chatziisaia, Koulouris, Warda and Kourbelis. Fairly substantial absences. I think we will see something like this from Lucescu: ---------------- Paschalakis ----------------- Matos - Varela - Crespo - Vierinha ------- Mauricio ------- Oliveira --------- Limnios --- Biseswar -----Henrique ----------------- Akpom ----------------------
pash
Same here, and it should be enough to spank them with (particularly with their absences). Wouldn't mind sitting Limnios out for a match to see Vieirinha up front, personally. But what can ya do.
