Not exactly a “laothalassa” there on the stands. Serious, < 1K for a club that qualified for the Europa League 5 times the last 7 years????

A win here will be very important, though a draw will keep us in first place. There is no reason we can't crush them.

If we have the same agreement with Atromitos as we did last season, then Giannoulis Xatziisais and Kolouris won't be playing. Therefore if we turn up and play at our best we should get a comfortable win.

Not sure why we have the agreement with Atromitos and not PAO. Didn’t like seeing Kace on the field last night (even though he probably will never wear a PAOK shirt again).

The same thing happened last season with #GM27. He didn't start, but came on very early when they had an injury. Meanwhile, Warda did not play against us a few weeks later.

-edit- Actually - isn't Koulouris going to be suspended for this game anyway?

I'm going to assume its probably to do with wages. Maybe PAO are paying all Kace's wage, where as Atromitos are only pay a small percentage?

Shouldn't make a difference...technically any such agreement was definitively banned by UEFA in the build-up to that Chelsea-Atletico Madrid final a few years back. Any agreement we have would be handshake-only and completely unenforceable.

Personally I say let them play. Who cares. There's a reason they're loaned out and not in our first (or second, or third) squads.

PAOK is paying the full wages for all the Atromitos loaned players and that's why there is a gentlemen agreement between the two teams not to play the players.

Kace and Poggouras have been released from their contracts by PAOK and are under contract by Panathinaikos. We just retain a % of resale value.

I think he is on loan, but the team's site doesn't list him. Transfermarkt does say he's on loan and returning June 30th, though.

PAO pays Kace 60% of his wages and that's why he gets to play against us. In any case I don't see him coming back to PAOK anyway.

Fiorentina? Did they even table an offer? If so, then yeah we're kicking ourselves over this.

Fytanidis (remember him?) filed a grievance against Atromitos for some back pay. If they don't pay up, they could be deducted three points. Unlikely to happen, it doesn't look like they're on the hook for much money.

Atromitos beat Iraklis 6:1 today in their cup game. All the PAOK players played, since they will be sitting out Saturday's game.

Another game where we need to play our strongest possible lineup. Here's who I picked. Lucescu kind of hinted that Pelkas would be rested in one of the upcoming games, though who knows when that would be.

              --Pashalakis--

--Matos--Varela--Crespo--Vieirinha--

         --Wernbloom--Canas--

      --Jaba--Biseswar--Warda--

                --Prijovic--

Make it happen, Razvan!

PAOK and Atromitos requested a foreign ref for this game, but KED assigned AEK's favorite ref Thanasis Tzilos to call this game. Also Koula Hasan is the sideline ref. That's the same guy that called Pereyra offside in the Veroia game when he scored a goal that would give us a win even though he was covered by at least 3 Veroia players.

I think this will be the hardest match until 2019.

I think if we win Atromitos, we'll have half protathlima.
