pash
Remember when we went to play against Krasnodar, and Tudor said to look at transfermarkt to back up why we wouldn't win? Let's hope Lucescu doesn't suddenly become that incompetent. These guys won their home opener 1-0 against one of the worst teams in Russia last weekend, we definitely can do this. Dutch Eagle
Our history against Russian clubs could be better if we skip the results against Kiev. Then they were Soviets and now Ukrainians?

Dutch Eagle
Does anyone knows what will happen with the cards? We collected some but Spartak did not play and has no player with cards? Or do they carry their cards from their last campaign?
Soprano76
Bravo PAOKara... would be wonderful to see two Greek teams in the champions league group stage this year. What do y'all reckon the odds will be?

BostonThanatos
Soprano, having 1 in the group stages is unlikely....getting 2 is probably damn near impossible.....but stranger things have happened.
paokarag4
What do we think of our attacking front 3 situation? (not including prijo) Like it or not Pelkas will start as our no.10. El Kaddouri although he played well v Basel on the wing, not sold on him as a winger. Limnios (can't believe I'm going to say this) I wouldn't mind if he starts. He was quite good this morning, his crossing was good and he looked dangerous when given space. I can't see Lucescu changing the starting XI (barring injuries/Vieirinha being fit)
paokarag4
Also @Blackhawk didn't we draw twice with Rubin Kazan back in the 11-12 Europa league Group stage?
pash
Spartak's star winger, Quincy Promes (24mm of their 124mm market value) is linked with Roma, Everton, Leicester, and probably every other team with money to burn. Let us all hope for a speedy and lucrative transfer for him ?

Yiankos
Μπράβο στην ΠΑΟΚΑΡΑ που πέρασε την Βασιλεία. Κάναμε τις πρώτες μας νίκες σε προκριματικά Τσουλού, γιατί όχι να κάνουμε και την πρώτη μας νίκη κόντρα σε Ρωσική ομάδα;
pash
There's no reason at all that we can't knock them out. The team will only continue to improve as they get more and more games under their belts. Akpom was added to the list for these two games:
paokarag4
Vieirinha officially ruled out of the first leg. I'm assuming Crespo will be given the start at left back https://www.paokfc.gr/nea/20180803-iatriko-deltio-gia-ton-vieirinha/
pash
On the plus side, Biseswar should be there! My guess is that he'll play, though El Kaddouri certainly made a case for himself. I wonder if perhaps one of them would take Limnios' place? --Pashalakis-- --Matos--Varela--Kacheridi--Crespo-- --Canas--Mauricio-- --Limnios--Pelkas--Biseswar-- --Prijovic--
pash
Roma has reportedly made an offer of 35mm EUR for Promes. For that kind of money, surely (or hopefully) Spartak will sell within the next few days.

Dutch Eagle
Was looking at the disciplinary section on the site of UEFA about how and what with the cards in Q2 (but couldn’t find anything) and saw this: Match: 2017/18 UEFA Europa League Round of 32: Athletic Club - FC Spartak Moskva (1-2) Charges against FC Spartak Moskva: - Setting off of fireworks – Art. 16 (2) (c) DR - Crowd disturbances – Art. 16 (2) (h) DR - Throwing of objects – Art. 16 (2) (b) DR DecisionThe UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided: - to fine FC Spartak Moskva €55,000;- to ban FC Spartak Moskva from selling tickets to its supporters for the next three (3) UEFA competition matches which the club will play as the visiting team. The third match in which the Russian club will serve a ban from selling tickets is deferred under a probationary period of two (2) years. So all tickets can be sold to our own fans. BostonThanatos
I'm glad they're not coming...I just hope our fans don't go there either. Their fans are pretty notoriously rowdy and I don't see any plus side to our guys making the trip.

Yiankos
