Dutch Eagle
Tommy Gemmell died yesterday at the age of 73. The Scotsman was one of the socalled "Lisbon Lions" the group of Celtic-players that won the European Cup in 1967 beating Inter Milan with 2-1. Gemmell was a left back. As far as I know he is the only Scotsman to score in two finals. He scored the equalizer in that match in 1967. In the 1970-final he scored again in the final. This time the opener against Feyenoord, but at the end they lost the game with 2-1 after extra time.

Dutch Eagle
2023 did not start well: After Pelé now Gianluca Vialli passed away. Sad because I liked him a lot and gave his name to the elder of our twins as his second name. His twinbrother has Gianfranco (from Zola) as his second name as both players were like twins too.
