Blackhawk
Interesting fact is that PAOK will face PAOK ex-coach Aggelos Anastasiadis against Larisa, ex-player and ex-coach Georgios Georgiadis against Trikala, and if we end up playing Panelefsiniakos ex-PAOK players Thanasis and Christos Dimopoulos. Our cup schedule is as follows: October 26: PAOK - Larisa November 29: Trikala - PAOK December 13: Panelefsiniakos or Zakynthos - PAOK

Blackhawk
My ideal draw would be: PAOK - Lamia Olympiakos - Panathinaikos AEK - Xanthi OFI - Aris Giannina - Platanias Tripoli - Levadeiakos Atromitos - Panaitolikos Kissamikos - Trikala Let's see if I get any pairings right. Well, you had one draw right (Giannina - Platanias). Not bad regarding the odds.

pash
Looks like we've got one of Xanthi or OFI next round
Blackhawk
Since draw is fixed (in my opinion), I believe we got the worst possible opponent of the four second tier teams. Xanthi is in good form. Hoping for an OFI miracle.
pash
Wouldn't be SUCH a miracle - 2-0 is doable at home, although highly unlikely. I'll pass out the komboloi while we wait for Tuesday's result.
pash
OFI leading 1-0 at half time....time for a miracle
pash
OFI's up 2-0 now, with about 20 minutes left. Was a real battle to get that second one in. Good news for us. -edit- game ended 2-1, Xanthi progresses. Questionable non-PK call in Xanthi's favor in the last ten or so minutes. But them's the breaks. Xanthi looks quite beatable to me. Blackhawk
You mean we will miss playing on this fine pitch? I watch most of the game. OFI deserved to qualify. Xanthi got one shot on goal and and scored.
pash
What did you think of that last run by their striker, where he was tripped? Couldn't tell if he was just outside of the box, they only replayed it once. Surprisingly good youtube stream.
Blackhawk
That was a close call. I really wanted OFI to qualify. Laola stream was perfect as always.

Athens4
It pains me to think who is running things in EPO. What a joke of a tournament. The cup is supposed to provide suspense to the fans and allow the smaller teams to cause an upset and earn a bit of money. A two-leg encounter should be from the quarter final onwards and not from previous games. In my honest opinion I see EPO using the double game to give their red counterparts the opportunity to make amends should they mess up in the first game. Don't get me started on the group format before the knock out phase. Why are Greeks just co incapable or organizing anything?
Bananas
I actually like the group format. For the small teams it's a 100% chance to play a "big" team so for them it's a boon and for the big teams it's a chance to give players who don't get any or little game time some minutes on the pitch. pash
Well, first two competitors are all but assured - Panathinaikos beat Asteras Tripolis 0-1 (0-5 on aggregate) to book their place in the next round. AEK is currently leading against a ten-man Platanias 2-0 at home (after a scoreless first round). Would be a huge upset if Platanias could steal a tie out of this. Blackhawk
It will be quite hard for Platanias, since they are playing with 10 after an AEK player dive in the box and penalty that gave them the lead. Looks like it will be the big 4 in the semis.
Blackhawk
PAOK, AEK, Panathinaikos are in. Atromitos is leading Olympiakos in 50th minute from a clear offside position. Edited March 2, 2017 by Blackhawk
