pash
For some reason I wasn't able to create this topic yesterday, but now, overdue, here we are. As Blackhawk said, we will be coming off of a week of rest (apart from our internationals, most of whom will probably not play). Leovac and Cimirot being back is good as well, although I doubt we'll see either make more than a cameo. I'd like to see more of a rotation for this match. Iraklis has Vellios back, but overall isn't doing that well. --Glykos-- --Skondras--Malezas--Tzavellas-- --Kitsiou--Antonis--Kace--Korovesis-- --Golasa--Jairo-- --Klaus-- I would be hesitant to play Antonis by Tziolis as both are very slow. Wouldn't mind seeing Charisis or Savvidis start over Antonis or Golasa, as well.

pash
I also had them queued up to post but phantis kept kicking me out! It's a real shame, most of them were born women too.

Blackhawk
pash, after my major ordeal of the last few days I was really looking forward to the special treat. B) As for the game. Pontoii Iraklis are threating this game as the match of the century. For some strange reason they decided that PAOK is their most hated rival. Just the other day there were some idiots on that Raptopoulos radio show claiming that Berbatov will not finish the match. And that stupid bald-headed clown even claimed that the game will never finish if PAOK manages to score and take the lead. Looks like we might be going into a war zone in two weeks. We need to go in, put a couple past them a quiet them down.
pash
Looking forward to the battle, then! pash, after my major ordeal of the last few days I was really looking forward to the special treat. B) Okay, fine, here you go:
Blackhawk
How did that get past the Phantis censors? :D
Blackhawk
For this game every little granny will come out. I expect them to have around 12 to 15K in the stands. That's probably triple the size that shows up for their other games.
Blackhawk
Statistically speaking (see first post), the results away at Iraklis are fairly even. Most common result is a tie. PAOK has 12 wins, but our last win was way back in 1997-1998 season. I think it's time to break this streak.
pash
Now's the time to do it. The senior team played vs Ivic's U20s the other day. Deligannidis played for both sides, taking over for Leovac with the seniors in the second half. Would doubt that we'll see either of them in the match. Antonis did play the whole 90, which is good. Glykos and Cimirot were both training individually, so my condolences to Boston Thanatos, as this implies to me that Glykos is going to be injured. Skondras also is ill; who knows if he'll be ready to play on the 18th. My guess: --Olsen-- --Vitor--Costa--Tzavellas-- --Rodrigues--Antonis--Kace--Jairo-- --Mak--Pelkas-- --Klaus-- *edit - let's be honest, I just like posting lineups. #cantgetenough
Blackhawk
I am afraid we will see Tziolis in the lineup one again.
Bananas
Tziolis is not so bad, and he has picked up his game. I do hope that Cimirot and Antonis can offer more though. Cimirot especially.
pash
It's up to them to take his spot. If they don't end up starting over him, then I guess I'll have to accept that he's really the best we have.
Blackhawk
No he is not bad, but he can't handle playing non-stop. He's been solid so far this season, but he will burn out like he did last season. On top of that he plays for the NT as well. He needs to be rotated in and out, but Cimirot is injured and Tudor does not trust Antonis. The only other option is Sabo.
Bananas
I think it's time to give Sabo a spell. With a new player, it can make a difference when they come back. Let's see what the others have to offer.
Blackhawk
My lineup: ------------------ Olsen --------------------- ----- Vitor ----- Costa ------ Tzavellas-- Rodrigues --- Tziolis -- Kace -- Mak ------------------ Pelkas ------------------- --------- Klaus ----------- Berbatov ----- We should have no problem beating Iraklis, as we have a much better team. At least offensively. The only thing that worries me if by any chance they score first and then park the bus and counter-attack taking advantage of our questionable defense. Bananas
I like the idea of playing Klaus and Berbatov up front. I think increasingly we'll need something like this to help break down teams that play deep.
Pontos
If they are to both play together Klaus needs to start making more direct runs in behind defenders. Berbatov will play with his back toward goal, exchanging quick passes with Pelkas and the like perhaps attract the attention of more than one defender. Blackhawk
Lazar is injured and will not play for Iraklis, so we don't have to worry about an ex-PAOK player to score against us as is usually the case. That's unless Stamou manages to sneak one past Olsen.

Blackhawk
Looks like Tudor is leaning towards starting Leovac, so the lineup might look something like this: ------------------- Olsen -------------------- --- Vitor -------- Costa -----Tzavellas-- Rodrigues - Tziolis - Kace -- Leovac ------------------- Pelkas ------------------ --------- Mak ----------- Berbatov -------
