Blackhawk
Playoff round draw is tomorrow. PAOK is among the seeded team in 8th place. Here are our possible opponents: Rosenborg Trodheim NOR 11.875 Qarabag Agdam AZE 11.500 Hajduk Split CRO 11.200 HJK Helsinki FIN 11.140 Atromitos Athens GRE 10.880 Zorya Luhansk UKR 10.533 Molde FK NOR 10.375 FC Thun SWI 10.375 Astra Giurgiu ROM 9.759 FK Jablonec CZE 9.325 Dinamo Minsk BEL 9.135 MSK Zilina SVK 8.750 FC Midtjylland DEN 7.960 Videoton Fehervar HUN 7.950 Brondby IF DEN 7.460 Vojvodina Novi Sad SER 6.275 SCR Altach AUT 5.135 Rabotnicki Skopje FYR 4.675 Milsami Orhei MDA 3.750 Odds BK DEN 2.875 Gabala FK AZB 2.750 FC Kairat Almaty KAZ 2.575 PAOK can't be drawn against Atromitos. pash
As Blackhawk notes in the other thread, we have only four days to register players for the next legs, which will be played on the 20th and 27th. Right now, the only person we have signed that hasn't played is Rodrigues, who was only announced two days ago. I find it very unlikely that we'll see a different team for this match - Rodrigues hasn't had a preseason at all, and unless we get Sabo, I can't see us putting anyone else in the lineup. I doubt we'll see him apart from a sub in the second playoff game. How long do Vitor's and Skondras' suspensions last in this portion of the competition? Two matches, or do they get wiped between rounds?

Dutch Eagle
Sabo will not be able to play if he signs for us as it is not allowed to play qualification games for two different clubs. He might play in the GS. That is allowed. A suspension won't get wiped out. It stays even if you change to another club and even if you don't play for some years. Remember 2004 when a Cypriot player (can't remember his name right now) played for us but still had a suspension from an Intertoto-match a few years before with his former club. We got a 0-3 defeat against Maccabi Tel Aviv for fielding a suspended player.
Dutch Eagle
There is change in Blackhawks list of possible opponents. Guimaraes of Portugal just lost to Austrian Altach. As Guimaraes would have been seeded their place will be taken over by the highest not seeded team, in this case another Portuguese team: Belenenses. SCR Altach has a coefficient of 5.135 I think there will be two groups of seeded and unseeded teams of 5 and two groups of 6. Tomorrow we will now. pash
But didn't you write the opposite below? In the past a player could NOT play for another team in the same season.Nowadays players are allowed to play for another club as the transferwindow closes on August 31st (or later if this in the weekend, just for administrative reasons). Dutch Eagle
You are right Pash, that I wrote this. And it still stands. The only exception is the qualification. Did not know that but actually my favourite club in Holland (AZ Alkmaar) bought a defender of Cukaricki Beograd who played in QR1 and QR2 for his old club but he is not allowed to play in QR4 (or PO) because of that rule. He is allowed to play in GS if AZ qualifies. So therefor he is allowed to play for another club in the same season. You almost got me!

Blackhawk
There is change in Blackhawks list of possible opponents. Guimaraes of Portugal just lost to Austrian Altach. SCR Altach has a coefficient of 5.135 I think there will be two groups of seeded and unseeded teams of 5 and two groups of 6. Tomorrow we will now. Yes, Altach suprised Guimaraes. The draw will take place at 13:00 CET. Here is the final list of possible opponents: Rosenborg Trodheim NOR 11.875 Qarabag Agdam AZE 11.500 Hajduk Split CRO 11.200 HJK Helsinki FIN 11.140 Atromitos Athens GRE 10.880 Zorya Luhansk UKR 10.533 Molde FK NOR 10.375 FC Thun SWI 10.375 Astra Giurgiu ROM 9.759 FK Jablonec CZE 9.325 Dinamo Minsk BEL 9.135 MSK Zilina SVK 8.750 FC Midtjylland DEN 7.960 Videoton Fehervar HUN 7.950 Brondby IF DEN 7.460 Vojvodina Novi Sad SER 6.275 SCR Altach AUT 5.135 Rabotnicki Skopje FYR 4.675 Milsami Orhei MDA 3.750 Odds BK DEN 2.875 Gabala FK AZB 2.750 FC Kairat Almaty KAZ 2.575 Prior to the main draw the teams will be split up into four groups. Two groups of 10 teams (5 seeded/5 unseeded) and two groups of 12 teams (6 seeded/6 unseeded). A team will be drawn only with a team from the same group. Teams I would like to avoid are Rosenborg, Molde, Jablonec, Brondby and maybe Zorya Luhansk. I would also not like to travel to Azerbaijan or Kazakhstan, although both teams should be easy to beat. I think we will end up with Hajduk Split or Dinamo Minsk.
Nea Bafra
Could we face Atromitos or can you not be drawn against a team from your country?
Bajewy
Could we face Atromitos or can you not be drawn against a team from your country? nope. only time we could possibly play them in E.L. is in the quarter finals (or final).
Dutch Eagle
The predrawing for today is made. We will face one of the following clubs: Qarabag Agdam (AZB) Molde (NOR) Jablonec (CZE) Brondby (DEN) Milsami Orhei (MDA) OK Boys, which club to avoid and which to prefer? In my opinion al doable, but lowest seed to prefer (Brondby and Milsami, but I realise that Milsami knocked out Ludogoretz Razgrad out of the CL in QR2)
RED SHERIFF
Avoid Jablonec
Bananas
If we can't beat any of the above teams, then maybe we shouldn't be in the group stage of the Europa. PAOK being PAOK, get your pacemakers serviced just in case.

Blackhawk
We are going to have a difficult time advancing if we don't get some players, and 50-50 refereeing.
Bananas
Dang Dutch Eagle, I was watching the draw live and must have posted 10 seconds after we got Brondby, and you still beat me to it!
pash
Going to be hard to grab players that can make an impact in two weeks' time when many leagues haven't even started yet.
Akritis_1944
You're through. Betting agencies are already paying out a PAOK win.
Bananas
Well, the team is in rebuild mode at the moment. So many players that were starters last season are gone. Tudor could have played it safe but he's chosen not to. I'm not saying I agree with his policy, it is high risk, but I don't disagree either. Lance that boil! In effect, his attitude is, if you're not good enough, it's time to go (Maartens), if you're too old I prefer youth (Rats), if you don't want to be at the club, you can go (Noboa, Lucas, Pereyra). I can accept not qualifying for the group stage, or having a mediocre Europe League campaign, if it means a foundation is laid for the following season. Still, I'll be pissed if we lose to Brondby. :) Edited August 7, 2015 by Bananas
Rockafeller Skank
Whoever is Saying Brondy is easy you my friends are terribly mistaken. I am not aware about the weather in the middle of August in the North but their squad is good, in my opinion the best in Denmark.Paok and Atromitos are in struggle to qualify in my opinion, and they might not do it. Dikefale11
How could they be the best team in Denmark when they finished 3rd... It is a tough draw but PAOK are clearly favorites. They just about scraped past Omonia.
Akritis_1944
^ I was joking BTW. However you are spot on. PAOK are favourite and Brondby should be ruing their luck at this draw but that doesn't mean that anyone at PAOK should be complacent. PAOK is in a rebuilding phase but Europa League should be a priority.
pash
We are not West Ham - we want these international matches. We'll beat these guys, but they need to be taken seriously. Hopefully Toumba will be rocking
