Schalke-Olympiakos

With a 2-2 record in the CL after winning both home and away against Montpellier, Olympiakos head to Gelsenkirchen, Germany to visit Schalke. These teams met in Piraeus, and Schalke won that one 2-1, and dominated the play. Olympiakos are 2 points back of Schalke for the Group B lead, and only one point behind Arsenal. A loss here would pretty much guarantee Europa League status.

Interesting setup here. Jardim is using a 4-3-3 formation. Carroll starts in goal, he was not in goal when these teams met in Greece. The back line is Torosidis, Manolas, Siovas, and Holebas. Maniatis is going to play as a midfielder again, Greco and Modesto with him. So 2 DMs and a defender in the midfield. Machado, a midfielder by trade, is playing up front with Abdoun, who can play either, but usually midfield, and Mitroglou, who is starting ahead of Djebbour who just returned from injury. Wacky look from Jardim.
