Omonoia9
After a 3-1 loss in Tirana, Cyprus open up their home schedule against Iceland. KOP have chosen to have this game in Larnaca at Stadio Antonis Papadopoulos, home of Anorthosis. Antonis Giorgallidis they say will not be able to play in this one, and Nikos Nioplias has declined to call up another goalkeeper. This means either Christos Mastrou or Tassos Kissas will have to be in goal. Mastrou was named the backup for the game at Albania, but made a forgettable relief appearance, that cost Cyprus a draw or better. Nonetheless, neither plays regularly for their club. Mastrou backs up Jaroslav Blazic for Anorthosis, and Kissas is behind Dionysis Chiotis, and even backup Urko Pardo for APOEL. The defense will need to be stellar. Cyprus and Iceland were in the same group for UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying, so they know each other well. In that, Cyprus drew them in Lefkosia, and lost in Reykjavik
