Thanx for the pics Dark_Horse.

Fantastic effort by our youngsters. Bravo sta palikaria mas, they are doing us proud, this team is very talented. Greece will be missing papastathopoulos+ Pliastikas in the final. Hopefully there is some one good to replace them both.

Well speaking of de ja vu, in 1998 or something, Greece played Spain in the final of the u-21 Euro Championships. We lost 1-0, BUT the team consisted of players like Dellas, Karagounis, Seitaridis, etc, i.e. the team that went on to become European Champions! Omen? ;) :gr:

don't think we'll win without papastathopoulos he is one top class player and will be a huge loss. its rare to see a central defender his age with so much composure and take so much responsibility. i would love to see him play in england spain or italy. i think playing in the champions league for aek last season has benefited him

if this team wins, players like Ninis, Papastathopoulos and Mitroglou will be playing for big european clubs in the coming years. This really puts the youth on the map.

well maybe Mitroglou wont cuz osfp might pull a djordjevic and keep him in ghreece to win championships but suck in europe.

U19 are looking like the 300 Spartans

Betting Odds To Win:

Spain U19 1.85

Greece U19 2.25

Remember the 300 Spartans overcame the odds: "Come And Take Them"

Excerpts from the above link:

"I've been impressed defensively with the set-ups of them all. All have played with a flat back four, Greece are the only team that have been able to adapt; they played one game in a 3-5-2, and in the semi-final they switched from their normal 4-3-3 to 4-4-2..."

"Sotiris Ninis has been excellent for Greece..."

Suspensions for the match
