Poland - Greece

Just about 2 months from now Greece will be making the trip to Bydgoszcz to take on Poland. The last time those 2 played each other, Greece was on the unlucky end with Michalis Kapsis putting in his own goal in a 1-0 loss weeks before EURO 2004.

Papastathopoulos is class and the future of our defense. He must get selected with one eye on the WC.

A fully fit Gourkas and Papastathopoulos are the only two defenders we have at this stage. Important 12 months coming up.

I strongly disagree. Papastathopoulos is good but he's still learning, while Seitaridis has been poor for Greece for a long time. Kyrgiakos and Torosidis are our top class defenders. It's time Torosidis was used in a more natural position, unfortunately we don't have a left back good enough for the top level. I'd like to see Pantos given a chance at left back so we could have Kyrgiakos and Papastathopoulos in the middle with Toro at right back

Why are Charisteas and Liberopoulos still on this team??? Do we we really need 6 forwards (5 of whom are cfs)??? A lot of our defenders are redundant; what is the deal with Patsatzogolou?? Is he really necessary? Torosidis on the left is the least of our problems..look at our midfield (we still don't have a left footed player)!!!!

Otto's pathetic strategy is to shamelessly grind out wins, so for him it doesn't matter who plays as long as they play HIS way. Sadly, I wonder if we have any organization and talent in Greece to play any other way....
