GS1905
Milwaukee Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova opted out of his contract to join one of the perennial Euroleague favourites FC Winthertur Barcelona for two years worth €3.5M a year, although some Turkish sources state that it is €2.5M, the player's agent said today. This wage according to the player's agent makes him the top earner in European basketball history. :o After the possible departure of Juan Carlos Navarro to the Washington Wizards, FCB were looking for a replacement (Antonio Granger, Rudy Fernandez and Marcus Brown were the actual favourites to sign) even though Ilyasova was never among the favourites. <_< I honestly hope it's not a decision that this flamboyant and rangeful forward will regret in the future..
