Probably because the match roughly coincided with the anniversary of our 2-1 defeat to them in Tirana. They turned it into a national holiday! Greeks dont talk about the win that much. Its a complex in itself. Heck, the biggest complex is the banner, "THIS IS NOT PORTUGAL" seen at the Tirana match. That right there shows how much Greece's Euro 2004 triumph bothered them. They probably took the Greek flag and wiped their rear ends with it. But, looking at the Albanian flag with the eagle (which is a Christian symbol adopted by their Albanian hero even though most Albanians are Muslims), their eagle looks as if the Albanian flag was already wiped with their rear ends beforehand. Hi all...No one talks about that 2-1 to tirana... But yes it wos beautifull to beat the europian champions... And one last thing.. the albanin flag has the simbol of the eagle so the simbol of albania.. the albanians call their country the country of the eagles and their selves the people of the eagles.. So shqiperia in leteral language or Iperia in dialekt (albanian) means the land of the eagle.. And alsow it wos the simbol of the tow romans empire and the simbol of the tow churchs.. orient (Orthodox) and occident (Roman) the riligion who the albanians belonge.. Constantin the great who make the christian religion the official religion in the roman empire wos an Illyrian so Albanin.... Abanians becomes muslym only in 1800... by the turks...
