Ziaka Posted January 30, 2004 Author Share Posted January 30, 2004 The depth is pretty good, with 3 experienced keepers. Tochoroglou is considered no. 1 goalie, but sometimes he could be unstable. Atmatsidis is his backup, He is the ex-AEK and national team keeper, but he is getting old. Porliotopoulos is the 3rd keeper, but he is on the black list and has been instructed to find a new team. Then there are two youngsters who have been acquired recently Vasilidadis and Andriopoulos. These two are spending their time with the youth team. Greek midfield player Christos Maladenis has left troubled AEK Athens to join PAOK Thessaloniki on a two-a-half year contract. The 28-year-old player met AEK's officials on Friday morning and terminated his contract by mutual consent before taking legal action for unpaid fees. PAOK Thessaloniki have confirmed on their official web site that they've completed the signing of Portuguese goalkeeper Daniel Marcio Fernandez on a three-a-half year contract for an undisclosed fee. The 20-year-old Fernandez started his career three years ago at Porto and has been playing in the second team of Spanish side Celta De Vigo. The nine new players were intruduced by Anastasiadis, who said that all the acquisitions were his personal choice.
