i already called a 3-5-1-1 formation as the best with can field with the available material we'll have against croatia but what do you think about this one as our potential line-up going on to nations league and euros 2020? i find it pretty overkill 3-4-1-2 karnezis Sokratis Papadopoulos Manolas Lykogiannis Samaris Kourmpelis Stafylidis Fortounis Donis Mitroglou with back up xi being something like that 4-2-3-1 Kapino/Vlachodimos Torosidis Siovas Oikonomou Retsos Zeca Tachtsidis Lazaros Mantalos Mpakasetas Karelis and if younger players will have explode by then we can integrate them into the squad..

and yes donis is out, as it was confirmed this morning.. personally with the current available players 3-5-1-1 is a non brainer for me..we utilize our strongest weapon by having 3 cbs altogether, as well as zeca+samaris+kourmpelis to hold the midfield..getting rid of tziolis, tzavellas, gianniotas and mpakasetas..

forget gianniotas..he's a bench warmer in spain's second division...after all he only appeared in what, 4 games in the whole campaign, all of them as a late sub.. i know this is not going to happen but i would like for once skibbe to try a formation like that. especially with mantalos* and donis(probably) being out; karnezis sokratis papadopoulos manolas lykogiannis samaris kourmpelis zeca stafylidis fortounis mitroglou torosidis is coming off an injury and in general hasn't been healthy this season..lykogiannis is more fresh and would fit far better as a full back/half.. also i'd prefer that system one hundrend times instead of using useless mpakasetas and gianniotas...after all this is a great chance to lock the midfield which is their biggest advantage...i hope he actually tries this one...and of couse stay away of tziolis and tzavellas...

mantalos is confirmed out..wish him to recover quickly, sucks for the players to get injured like that.. as far as the playoffs are concerned i think the scheme will be the same we used against belgium, a 4-4-1-1. but not with the same players. that's the most probable solution at the moment. it could be enough to get a draw for example but not to get us past croatia over 2 legs. our chances are quite slim now.

i'll write it here, if we fall to croatia and epo decides to terminate skibbe's contract my candidate to get the job would be ouzounidis. by far my favourite coach, he does wonders in panathinaikos when there's noone behind him to provide any support. i'd like to watch him in the nt in the near future, but i think he wants to work on a daily basis.

yes last year he didn't resign with pao because he had a done deal with inter but choutos insisted to sign for paok.. u-21 and u19 teams have immense talent, i really think they're both better than the team which reached the final game in 2012...basically the only players which managed to have a decent career after then were stafylidis, kapino, kourmpelis and lykogiannis... from the u21 team i think lamprou, manthatis, limnios, androutsos, galanopoulos, chatzidiakos and katranis will be vital parts of the nt in the future..the rest i don't think are difference makers but we'll see how the things will turn out. from the u19 team i pretty much like douvikas, mourgos, spanoudakis, baxevanos and kampetsis. it will be crucial for these teams to make the final tournaments in their respective categories because this way they will have a better chance of getting attraction by the scouters of top-4 league teams...and i think all of them have potential to play a major role in these leagues in the near future..
