another tournament over before it even got started. Lol No way we even get 2nd now. And 2nd isn’t even a qualified spot. 2nd place has to play in a mini tournament for 3 spots. we suck. It’s over. The dark ages are really here. No European cup this summer and no World Cup next year.

Think about it Einstein’s we just went through 2 qualifiers for 2016 and 2018. Didn’t even come close to qualify. then we play in 2 nations league campaigns in what I would say is a shameful group of minnows and we can’t even get promoted finish 1st. and you think Spain and Sweden will be easy??? Last 2 nations cup groups have been so easy. But yet we can’t even finish 1st in a 3rd division. Yeah we are going to finish 1st or 2nd in a group that has Spain and Sweden. It’s over. I have been saying this for a few yrs. Look at our results and where we stand. No qualifications in the last 3 tournaments. We former Euro champs only 16 yrs ago are in the 3rd division of European national teams. 3rd division, let that sink in. And Twice failed to get promoted to the 2nd division and use the possibility of a playoff spot. From groups that our powerhouses lol 😂 wtf. This needs more than a coach change or this player or that. Greece needs to start over again. The youth. The federation need better facilities, the teams need to invest in youth. Look at Portugal. What they did. In the late 80’s they started to invest in the youth foundations and look at them last 25 yrs. they have qualified for every tournament, won 2 cups and play in the first division. This a country that qualified only 3 times before 1996. Greece has to take same approach or it will never qualify again and just struggle. Greece never used the 2004 as a blueprint to success. They assumed all of a sudden that we see champions and this is the new normal. But missing out on world cup 2006 should have been a warning sign.

Promotion to league B. but as far as a World Cup spot it’s going to be very rare. Unlike the last nations cup for the Euro they had 4 spots available to 16 teams to do a playoff. This World Cup they will only take the best 2 teams in the nations cup who didn’t qualify directly (10 spots) or finish as one of the 10 2nd place teams. The 2 nations league teams will join the 10 2nd place teams and play in the playoffs. So Greece being in Group C is far behind in the pecking order. still a possibility but will be very hard.

No only the 1st place team gets promoted. in this edition of the Nations league only the 2 top 1st place teams who haven’t qualified for the WC or playoffs enter the playoffs. basically means you need to finish 1st to get promoted and improve our rankings and being in group C makes being one of the 2 teams impossible.

Kosovo finished first in their group. In group D. They will play in the playoffs in march for one spot for group D. The other 3 spots will come from group A, B,C. This the nations league in talking about.

Sure if your happy in beating Armenia 1-0 and not qualifying for the tournament. So be it. Be are still along way off. Especially the hole we dug. We will flounder around in the low seeds for a while. Not qualifying

No for the World Cup Europe gets 13 spots. So the way they will do it is 10 groups. 10 1st place qualify. They will get the 3 other spots from the nations league. Meaning top 6 that didn't qualify starting from group A working it's self down to group D. Greece is in a pickle. They are group C so might not get playoff no matter how good we do.

Good win. Moving in the right direction. How did we not finish 2nd in this group? Qualification should have happened. Can't believe another tournament we are not there. That's 3 in a row. Next summer will be hard again. At least we will move up a bit. But we are still screwed for next tournament. Europe only gets 13 spots. 10 will be the 1st place teams and 3 will come from nations cup. If we are able to beat Finland we will move up. But we will still probably end up in pot 3 for qualifying. But could still be pot 4. Cant see us toping any group as a 1st place. And for the Nations cup it will be the top 6 starting in group A and working its way down. We are in Group C so that pretty much kills it. Probably Euro 2024 is our best shot at being at another tournament. Unless this goes to s%$#! again. Lol ??

Your dreaming about the World Cup. There's only 13 spots ,10 group winners and plus best 3rd 2nd place and 3 best nations league teams fight for last 3 spots. Greece can forget nations Cup because being in group c. And we will be seeded so lowly that it will be impossible to finish 1st or even one of the 3 best 2nd place. Emphasis should be rebuilding in time for 2024 Euros

im certain we will lose. But I'm praying it's not an embarrassment and we can show some fight. This campaign is over and realistically we don't have a chance for the World Cup because only 13 European teams qualify. Hopefully we can rebuild for the European championship in 2024
