  1. If the decision not to include them is due to the fact that they sabotaged the national team in the past then it is a step in the right direction. Time will tell. Schip should use the remaining 4 Euro games to start rebuilding the national team.
  2. Douvalidis qualifies with a seasonal best 13.43. He finished 3rd in his heat.
  3. Somewhere I read that in September/October the average humidity is around 75 to 80%. If I remember right the two times I visited Houston during the summer the humidity was around 80%, so I would expect similar conditions. I read that inside the stadium there will be no problems due to state of the art climate control. It is the marathon and walking races that will be problematic despite the fact the will start after local midnight.
  4. Jimmy are you telling me you didn't order yours yet?
  5. PAE 'O' Aris has started selling a t-shirt with Indeye peeing on a corner flag at Toumba doggie style. Just shows you the difference between the two teams. One is selling a t-shirt with their player pretending to be a dog with the major achievement of getting a tie. While the other team sells t-shirts after achieving a double. Undefeated!!!
  6. Tentoglou and Stefanidi should have no problem making the finals. I would say Kyriakopoulou should as well, but she is coming back after injury without any competitive action. Would be nice to have a double representation in the pole vault. The only way Skarveli will qualify is if she breaks her PB. Provoleggio might get a PB but weather conditions will be very difficult despite the fact that the even will take place late at night. I see a lot of competitors not finishing the race.
  7. Ivan Savvidis (and little George) put down any talk of coach replacement today following a Skype meeting.
  8. All Swiss crew for this game, and Sidiropoulos at the VAR booth. The Swiss ref is the same one that called our game against Fiorentina. He will be retiring from refereeing after this.
  9. Greece will take part in the next UEFA Nations League 2020-2021 in League C. League C consists of 16 national teams, which will be divided into 4 groups during the draw on march 3, 2020. Group winners will qualify to League B. The 4 teams that will finish last in the groups will enter the playoffs to determine the 2 teams that will be relegated to League . Teams playing in league C are: Greece, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, The game schedule: Round 1: September 3-5, 2020 Round 2: September 6-9, 2020 Round 3: October 8-10, 2020 Round 4: October 11-13, 2020 Round 5: November 12-14, 2020 Round 6: November 15-17, 2020 Final Stage: June 2-6, 2021
  10. There is a report that Sporting Lisbon has asked PAOK to release Abel Ferreira so they could sign him as their next coach. Apparently Ivan Savvidis turned them down. Let's not forget that Ferreira has a 7 mil buyout clause, so if Sporting is serious they can fork out the cash and claim him.
  11. Sideline ref during a youth game who had one too many drinks:
  12. I have some numbers for our accountant pash: 35,000 annual subscriptions (this number does not include subscriptions outside of Greece). Over 500 commercial subscriptions. As for advertising, PAE PAOK is projecting that revenue from advertising tied to PAOK TV will be around 2 mil.
  13. There is advertising during pre-game and half time.
  14. Pelkas and Matos to miss the game. Would like to see some changes in the lineup.

  16. The way Jaba is going we will not see anything.
  17. I think you're making the mistake assuming that PAOK's main goal with PAOK TV is to match what NOVA was offering. The main objective is to become independent of NOVA seeing that they will soon become under control of Olympiakos owner. The article you are quoting clearly says that NOVA if they decide to enter official negotiations with PAOK will not go over 5 mil. At the end the official offer was little bit over 4.5 mil. Also don't forget that last season NOVA was paying PAOK 6.5 mil, and with the season that PAOK had dominating everything the offer under 5 mil was a slap in the face. At the same time Panathinaikos got a 1.5 mil raise by going to NOVA. Like I said the main goal is for PAOK to control their own TV rights and they will be happy just to break even. Also I don't think the expanses for the production are as high as the 100K per game you quoted. The company doing the production is already under contract with Open TV (owned by Savvidis) and I am sure they got a good deal.
  18. That is a final. Nice gift from Panathinaikos.
  19. Still undefeated for over season and a half. Something needs to change with the team. Can't go on playing like that.
  20. Very poor showing by PAOK today. Zero creativity at midfield and counting on Biseswar to do all the work. He will be dead tired in the second half.
