once we drew home and away to Bosnia.....the plan was that we were always going to be behind Bosnia with 2 matches to go..
The positive after their loss in Cyprus is that THEY MUST BEAT Belgium...a draw won't be enough...If we beat Cyprus and Gibraltar...

I would have no fear vs Estonia if Mitro, Samaris and Taxi were fit..
we risk playing players who are not fit or not match fit...

yes....probably the worst elimination from a Greek club that I can remember..Given the strength and pedigree of the swedes..
Lets not forget Atromitos won 1-3 in Sweden 2 years ago against a far more credentialed team AIK Solna...

Points v Sporting at home is only chance...
Juve are much better today than any time we have beaten them in the past...

I am happy with the coach...I always was...
however i agree with Jason, besides the first half v Rijeka at home...we were ordinary for the rest of the tie...
This is not a 'typical' Olympiakos UCL squad...This team will get some embarrassing thrashings in UCL group stages...Maribor, Qarabag, APOEL are the only teams in Pot 4 we should get points from.....Celtic would beat us in Scotland....
Our defence is suss....the midfield is at best 'workmanlike' ..and we have NO strike force.... unless Emenike can play?

You are well aware points for greece matter too...
we are closing in to 12th spot.....Points for greece may mean if PAOK win league or cup next season..they may have direct access to Groups...
Too many risks starting in July for many clubs...not just Greeks...
Galata, Rangers, PSV, Sparta ...now PAO.....Historically strong clubs can slip up....very early.. Ajax, Fener facing elimination too...
It is not beyond reality that PAOK lose 2-0 in Sweden!

I'd back AEK, PAOK, OSFP collecting more points than the Swiss, Czechs, Austrians from September to February/March..
interestingly on those numbers...The Dutch would have been way back if it was not for Ajax amazing run last year..

Let me list a set of teams who we may face that could score 5,6,7 against us..

Real
Athletico
PSG
Chelsea
Man City
Man Utd
Dortmund
Bayern Munich
Juventus
I assume these teams will be Pot1 and Pot 2.. so the odds are pretty high we will face one/two of these teams..
In previous years when we played some of these teams we have had better teams when we were able to be competitive against them..
we currently do not have an UCL standard team..Even by our standards..
We have also suffered some huge losses to some of these teams in the past....with better teams..
PSG
Bayern
Juve
Athletico
Real
Chelsea
Man Utd
Have all hammered better olympiakos teams over the years...
i hate to burst a lot of peoples confidence...but this is a crappy team..
No combination of Retsos, Serb, Botia, Romao are UCL quality..
Ben , Emineke, Karim will not trouble too many teams going forward..
I'm not sold on Koutris...I know nothing about the Croat LB?
We seem to have a lot of midfield and wide options...
Taxi, Gillet, Ofoe, Siopis, Romao, Fortounis, Pardo, Seba, Carcela, Marin, Zdeljar, Martins, however none of these are really better than what the Russian, Ukrainian , Basel, Celtic , Anderlecht would have?

Siopis and Kourbelis are not going to trouble Belgium....and I worry about Estonia too..

our biggest problem is that Taxi , Samaris and mitro have no game time...
any combo in the 11 without these players looks third rate...
It will be very embarrassing to have Vellios (no league time in championship) or diamantakos up front.

PAO's best 11 will be competitive...depth is a problem.

Ninis and kone are not playing..Kone has not got a club..
Vellios has not played a League game yet?
Bouchalakis can strike a ball..but there's more required to be a good NT midfielder than to be able to strike a shot.
Maniatis and Tziolis should not be called up..
Samaris, Taxi, Zeca, Mandalos, Fortounis, (Siopis, Kourbelis) are more than enough as CM,DM.AM roles..

Mandalos is one of our few good attacking creative options..
Zeca is needed. Tziolis NOT!!
Bakasetas, Diamantakos, Vellios are all rubbish...
Taxi and Samaris if fit SHOULD BE IN THE 11...I have concerns about both their fitness/match fitness?
we proved last night that apart from Mitro we have no other strikers....Klaus is sadly the second best Greek striker at the moment....that is saying something...
we can now reflect and say that...the following line up may have been more effective...but who knows?
