I dont think hed hold a spot at Fener......theyve got much better tall forwards like Kezman, Deivid, and Senturk......but if he did somehow start it could be good for him. I beleive hell get much better service to score goals from Fenerbahce's midfield than from Celtic and a big goal scoring season would be better for him I feel.

Well our first trasnfer of the season was made earlier, Nikola Pekovic of Partizan Belgrade and recently....Fotsis is coming back!

I am a huge Fanis fan since Kallithea, but I have to say I seriously hope that will be said A LOT vs Sweden.... :tup: In terms of Fanis Gekas, this tournament is his big chance to announce himself to the world.... Hes been good with PAO, Bochum and even Levekusen in UEFA particuarly, but since Bundesliga is overlooked considerably compared to other leagues, this is going to be massive for his career - particularly if hes still not consistently making the Leverkusen first squad, even though he did play many games for them. Best of luck to all the Greeks tommorow, but Fanis in particular I hope makes a name for himself at the next level, hes done it at Kallithea, then PAO, then Germany, next stop is the international stage... Hopefully, itll be a great tournament for Gkekas, and eventually get more respect on the international stage....Hes shown (or at least proven to the rest of the Greeks) that hes more than just a lucky goalscorer, that he can move with the ball, create, and make his own goals... Its time for Greece to have that "name striker" that everybody knows about..... Gkekas is our best candidate to move on to that spotlight I feel and this tournament is where it can happen. Absolutley ridiculous that, todays "preview" on ESPN they did not even say his name, they talked about all the old players, but honestly how could you not be aware of who the top bundesliga scorer on the team are ??? Why is it there paid and dont even know these things here?

DUDE your list is all these Englishmen....... its really not that realistic at all. English players very rarley leave England, they hate abroad, its like putting cat in water. With very few exceptions (pretty much all to Real Madrid, McMannaman, Owen, Beckham, Woodgate.... when was the last time a big english player left for abroad? Even the youth, they very very very rarely play abroad man.... Its really a rare thing. I think its because the English rank the EPL as more imporant than any other league including CL, and thats probably why its so rare that they move abroad, theyd most often rather play for the Boltons and Portsmouth and compete in the EPL and battle over 10th place, than go to other leagues... I think any talented youth in England wouldnt even consider OSFP, because theyre so set on the future in the EPL. Foreign players in England is different though. They arent grown up around the EPL, and are more open to other leagues and teams.

My new jersey finally arrived (thanks to XXX18T's help :tup: ) ! Despite my doubts, it was defintily real when I got it...anybody know exactly what season its from? I know its from the mid 90's I remember us with the striped jerseys... We really should bring them back...

The players just had a terrible game for one - Jaskevicius couldnt hit field goals, and our next "american for 2months" got a lot of playing time - honestly we should give up on these American losers.....theyre always terrible (except for Mike) and never commit....Perperoglou would have done much better than this Winston jackass... I wish we'd go for big Spanish or Italian players for a change...we can afford them, and they have plenty reason to come to Greece.... But there are some excuses: One its a friendly...... We were missing key players such as Spanoulis and Zisic and Alvertis :nw: NBgAy rules mean longer quarters, longer 3 point lines and other wierd things We were away and just sloppy that day WHAT IM still wiating for is why the hell cant we bring these a***** to OAKA for a change after all these years??? NBA teams are in europe every year, playing smaller teams we as PAO should be practicing with them every preseseason at least one match, why didnt we have one game for the fans - not in TEXAS at least, make it in Athens......THEN well see in front of the loudest fans in Basketball how these guys can play...
