  1. I WAS JUST WONDERING HOW LONG THE HAPPINESS WILL LAST THIS TIME. OH WELL!!! BY NOW WE ARE USED TO GETTING $#@&% BY MEGA AND ITS “PAPATZIDES”. I GUESS ONE MORE TIME WILL NOT CAUSE INCONVENIENCE FOR SOME PEOPLE. :stupid:
  2. SORRY BUT THE RECEIVER IS NOT FREE.IT IS $4.99 ADDITIONAL PER MONTH PLUS SHIPPING CHARGES OF $24.99. This information was provided by Mrs. Georgia of GMG. AM I WRONG? :nw: :nw: :nw: :nw: :nw: :nw:
  3. Yes, HOME2US stopped the transmission of the Greek Channel package, effective September 25, 2012, during the early morning hours. However, many subscribers have pre-paid until September 30th and the service was to be terminated on the last day of September. Therefore, by law, for services not rendered, the company must refund by pro-rating the unused portion of the prepayment they have received. I already received over 130 complaints about this issue and if no response of refund is provided by the company, we may be looking into a class action lawsuit. If you have any prepaid amount for services that you did not receive, please contact the company and request such. Make sure you take notes as to the day and time you've called and the person you spoken with. Furthermore, if you paid with credit card, contact also your cards' customer service and advise them of your refund request. Please post your findings, actions and resolutions if any, so we may decide the next step of action as necessary. Thank you very much.
  4. It's not that we don't like the facts. But your claims and statements are not the facts, they are only hearsay.Only time will prove the facts. Sadly, the time proven facts of your past history are in total contrast of your current claims and statements. We truly like and prefer to support Greek businesses, including yours. Therefore, we absolutely have nothing personal against your business. However, we have a problem when any business, including yours, will consider their customer as a fool and/or naive and tries to sucker them one more time into a deceptive business offer. The truth and the facts sometimes are painful. But, these are the facts ELLAS TV, and we too are not sorry if you don't like them. :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:
  5. First and foremost, ‘We, the Subscribers’, sincerely wish you all the success. However, your proven past track record is not instilling a confidence in us to trust and continue your services without further aggravation and unnecessary expenses. I am afraid this is just a name change, for the very same ‘Karagiozis Show’. Sorry ELLAS TV. You fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!!!  :gr: :nono: :nono:
  6. No there is no announcement scrolling on the screen. However, we are receiving phone calls almost daily advising us that their broadcasting from Home2US will end by September 30, 2012, and we have to give them our subscriber information again in order for them to mail us a new box, of course with new fees attached. It was precisely one year ago that we subscribed to Home2US, which cost us $383.00 for the dish LNB, the re-alignment and labor. That money is down the drain for a service that lasted only 12 months. Would the new service and their "NEW BOX" will it last another 12 months? I don't want to sound pessimistic, but I doubt it very much that it will last even for 12 months. At first we got suckered by getting Dish Network. Then within a reasonably short period of time we got suckered into getting Direct TV. Again within a reasonably short period of time we got suckered into getting Home2US. And now they are trying to sucker us again into something "new and exciting" as they call it. I admit we were fools and we fell for the sake of watching Greek TV. But even foolishness has its limitations. NO THANK YOU!!! You can take your new system, your wonderful programming and whatever else you are peddling to the unsuspecting Greek consumers and store it someplace where no TV screen will ever see it. I am mad as hell, and I am not going to take this $#@& anymore. :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:
  7. Hello again 'gang3171' Thank you for the information. Following your instructions it worked fine. Will see how long they will have that option open for us. Mega is killing the American Omogenias' goose that laid the golden egg for them. I'll second your motion that "Mega have been nothing but a Mega pain!!!" Kali Anastasi - Kalo Pasxa
  8. Hello 'gang3171', Are you watching "I Zoi tis Allis" and "Mystika tis Edem" online on the Mega website but is it the full episode or couple clips of few minutes each? The Mega site still blocking their programs as clearly their announcement on their player says: "We're sorry, currently our video library can only be streamed within Greece". If somehow you are watching the full episodes, could you please let us know how you are able to do it. Thank you.
  9. Hello Friends, “If history repeats itself, and the unexpected always happens, how incapable must Man be of learning from experience?” George Bernard Shaw History repeated itself many times with Greek satellite programming providers in the USA; enough times for us the Greek consumers to learn a lesson. Regrettably, including myself, we did not listen and we did not learn. Every time we fell into the trap and only aggravated ourselves and wasted our valuable time and money. Simply it all boils down to; "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." Without taking any credit away from other members who always diligently try to update us, Harlem Reporter presented an excellent Greek saying that summerized the whole situation: "Kai i (Home2US) milonou ton andra tis me tous pramateftades (Directv, Dish)." And on that note I have to say: “Mia tou klefti, dyo tou klefti, treis kai tin kaki tou mera” I am fully aware that Cablevision and Verizon Fios TV are not any different from Dish or DirectTV in their business practices and customer service, as all of them have an equally vast amount of “valid” complaints across the country. But for my two cents, Cablevision is offering MEGA and ANT1 and Verizon Fios TV offering ANT1 only with the verbal promise that Verizon soon will be adding at least one more Greek channel. It remains to be seen. As for me, with the new technology, I rather invest the money for an internet ready TV and enjoy the plethora of Greek entertainment available over the internet, rather than becoming a sucker one more time for the pleasure of HOME2US or anyone else for that matter. Regarding the ‘Greek Media Group’ they are not even worth dignifying them with negative comments, and as far as MEGA is concerned, they should allow their program streaming over the internet, perhaps even for a fee, instead of blocking it in the USA by saying: “We’re sorry, currently our video library can only be streamed within Greece”. HELLOOOOOO!!! KOUTHOURAKIA OF MEGA!!! TV is free in Greece, at least for the Greek channels. We are paying to receive your channel and what you provide? Couple of new shows, advertised to start in September but they don’t start until November, and then after a month or two you either drop them altogether without any explanation and start broadcasting repeat episodes or broadcast old shows over and over again. You must wake up and realize that you are killing the goose that lays the golden egg for MEGA. Lastly, I have to make one final confession; my first wife left me when Dish Network dropped Mega and she lost her episodes of ‘Vera Sto Deksi’. My second wife is leaving me now because DirectTV dropping Mega and she is loosing ‘Ta Mystika Tis Edem’. I am mad as hell, and I am not gonna take it anymore. My third wife has to sign a contract promising that she will not get emotionally involved with Greek soap operas. And please, don’t anyone make a suggestion to find a non-Greek wife. (Just kidding) Again, my sincere thanks to all the members and wish you all KALO PASXA

  11. The last few weeks I am having problems with MEGA. The picture breaking, going black & white, or totally off screen with the Direct TV insulting generic "SORRY" posting sitting on the screen. As many times as I contacted their tech support, I could not get anyone with a bit more intelligent mind to understand that, as long as all the other channels are working fine, the problem could be in the transmission of the MEGA signal, which they refuse to look into it. Their ritual is plug - unplug your receiver, disconnect - re-connect the cable wires, etc. " XONTROKEFALOI". They had problems at the beginning when they switched to Direct TV, but now it's getting worse. Are there other people having the same problems? Please let me know. Because if it is systemwide spread, I will try to take the complaint a step higher, and post the results here. Thank you.
  12. Direct TV use one dish almost oval in shape and about 36 inches long and about 24 inches high, but it requires one dish for all the channels. When I had Dish Network I needed two dishes. Although I am pleased with the switch to Direct TV so far, one big complaint is that the Mega channel only, the picture is constantly breaking, sometimes it gets lost altogether and the sound most of the times is terrible. It is dragging / fluttering like an old unwound Victrola. Does anyone else have the same problem? I contacted Direct TV about it but still waiting for the reply. Happy New Year To All!
