  1. Not sure if anyone saw this but Ajax were bundled out of the Champions league group stage this morning after losing 0-1 at home to Valencia, Ajax just needed a draw to go through but were knocked out despite picking up 10 points across the group stage. What really made me smile was that Valencia went down to 10 men in stoppage time when one of their players reacted to Tadic trying to drag him up for feigning injury and trying to waste time. The Valencia player then barely kissed Tadic and he hit the deck like he had been shot. Funny it didn't bother Tadic when he and his teammates were rolling around and diving like crazy in the 2nd leg against us when they had the lead, happy to see he Dusan in particular not get to qualify. They will probably go deep in the Europa league and maybe even win it, but karma comes around in football. I'm not still bitter though, I've moved on from that game 100%

  2. What PAOKTV needs to add is the ability to watch a match on demand (without revealing the score) like Optus Sport does. That way when PAOK plays at 2/3/4am here in Australia we can watch the game at say 5am.

  3. Have to agree, watching Sokratis of late at Arsenal... he's not been great. Manolas on the other hand is doing great on the biggest stage of them all, the Champions League. With Hatzidiakos down, he would be good, but his attitude would need to be just as good, if I am JVS, I'm meeting with Manolas over dinner and having a good chat about what I want in the future. Stafylidis... simply not a good long terms placement at CB, need to look at the many great CB's we can work with like Risvanis or Lambropoulos, either would be fine next to Manolas.

  4. Petros Tsagarakis (Chania), the son of the ex-ref during the "paranga" days has been assigned to call this game. What is with all these ex-referee offspring's going into the refereeing trade? There must be some good money in that field.

  5. After all teams have played each other once it's clear that PAOK & OSFP are above the rest followed by a group of 5-6 teams that are a level below, one of those teams is our beloved Aris. I believe it is a decent team that is very weak in the most crucial area, goal scoring. Our creative players are small and fragile and the players who the team relies on to score (Ideye, Larsson, Diguiny) are very sloppy and lack touch. Both sets of players seriously lack in mental calmness when they are in scoring position!! It's easy to understand why so many of the team games end in ties especially since the majority of the opponents sit back. I don't know if they have money to spend on another forward unless they release some players with bigger contracts. I have no idea what their philosophy was over the summer but it seems that they planned assuming group stage in Europe would be reached. This is very concerning because it shows a lack of responsibility and ability to have alternate plans by the man in charge. Unfortunately I see similar moves to those that handicapped Aris in the recent past forcing relegation.

  6. I'm over in Thessaloniki for a wedding on Saturday so was hoping to get to this one and see some different parts of Greece.. Alas, I have been railroaded into dinner with my wife's family now anyway ? Would like to see us rattle in a good score here to improve our goal difference

  7. One of the most over rated Greek defensmen who got away with murder because he played for Olympiakos. On top of that he should have been kicked out of football altogether for involvement in illegal football betting
