Koutris was impressive with his hustle and great crosses I really like how he is coming along. Zeca doesn't stop running and made a vital defensive header on a cross that was going to be headed in by the Bosnian player.

I don’t think we should rock the boat with two many different call ups with the exception of the players that were injured of course.. From everything I’m reading and all the pics I see there truly seems to be like this team is building a bond together and you can thank Basinas and Gian, Ang for that.. you can even see the tweets from siovis and Manolas.. I’m really liking what Koutris brings to the team his speed and crosses are good. The minute Masouras came in to the game you can see his impact.. honestly between Samaris, Zeca’s hustle, Koutris crosses, Donis and either Mitro or Kolouris we can be a fast and creative team.. Add Manolas, and Toro for some of the game and I’m liking our team again..

This is key. Not only can't Greece play a defensive game but most teams in the world can't do it anymore and hope to get that 1-0 win. Last tournament in Russia you saw a number of teams score that late goal to win or tie. In many sports they say that the best defense is a good offense. I think that is starting to be the case with soccer. Italy smoked Liechtenstein. Greece can't sit back against them. They have to take care of the ball and make them play some defense.

You know what, even with a “super power” I think we need to start going with balance. Greece has shown it can’t do what it used to do in terms of being defensive, every time we try it now days we get owned. If we go out there all defence with Italy they will have a field day. Congratulations for the great comeback and in general good display in 70 minutes of the game. We had furious 20 minutes and that is all. Unfortunately, football should be played for 90 minutes. I cannot say we understated Greece, as we have some kind of rivalry and full respect for the Greece team. We even expected good display from you side because of few missing players, as the new players always want to prove quality. But at end we have to be more than satisfied with result and probably Greece was closer to win. After 20 furious minutes and 2:0 lead we have started to believe that Greece have no attacking potential to come back. We had played on counter attack waiting for Greek's mistake that have never came. Our coach completely misjudged the game, and after red card he even did not know what to do. Leaving injured Dzeko to chase defense and huge gap in the middle with so many tired players resulted at end with huge disappointment. Anyway, this is not first time we got a lesson from Greece that football should be played for 90 minutes, sometimes and 95 ?. However, this is pretty much Bosnia new team. We have lost Lulić, Ibišević, Misimović and few other older players, and definitely we will need time to create solid competitive team. Not saying that Italy didn't deserve the win, but they probably don't score 6 goals on them the next time out. If Greece plays to their strengths, they can make some noise. Either way, their play is so much better than it was in the fall.

Ninis has great long balls and vision. His shooting was powerful too. Bouzoukis is another with a decent left foot. The next big thing in my opinion. Similar style to Modric and can score from distance.

I think you make some good points. Definitely wouldn't consider Mitroglou one of our best players anymore; at least in his current form. Greece has more depth and overall positional quality. Difference is the following: Their top-end talent is more spread out in the lineup. They have an elite striker and most importantly an world class midfielder, who applies pressure and dictates the flow of the game a easier more than a CB can. Greece is bottom-heavy with Sokratis, Manolas, and other players who contribute to the depth of the backline. What Pjanic offers is not only skill, but also instills confidence in his teammates and coach to play a more attacking brand of football. A player like that in the heart of the formation makes everyone around them an inch taller, so to speak. When a team attacks; when they go at opponents, they tend to demolish weaker sides, racking up goals and stats are inflated. If anything, Greece's talented defence makes it even more attractive for a coach to play to his strengths and field a more defensive lineup. Hopefully, the last two matches were enough to instil some belief in the players and staff that Greece can be successful with an attack-oriented scheme.

The result is big. Fair to say we should be happy with a score draw. As for the goals we conceded, the players committed sins today. Those goals should NEVER go in at that level. 1) The first goal, why isn't there one man around the "D" ? Seriously, my junior coaches taught us these basics when I was a kid. If you allow the opposition to just shoot like that, you deserve to concede. I've read comments the goal was lucky but I don't agree. We allowed the corner taker to see the option, he played it, and the BH player had a shot. After that, anything can happen, and behold it did. Worse than a school boy error on our part. If you simply position a man to guard the "D" this goal doesn't happen. 2) The free kick from Pjanic. Same again. School boy defending. Sure, he's not that good. I mean, he only plays for Juventus and is being courted by Real Madrid. Here mate, we don't need to setup a wall because you're just a no name player that couldn't score to save your life. And for the people that said it's Vlachodimos mistake, that is ridiculous. That shot would not be saved by any keeper in the world. It was perfect. But if you setup a wall, it's 95% no goal. So we concede two goals from defending that is Kastoria FC level. Unacceptable. Moving forward hopefully we tighten up because we will definitely not qualify conceding stupid goals like this. The plus (and this is a BIG plus) is that the team didn't fold and showed heart. That is all on Ange. His team selection I don't understand but his motivational skills have always been good. Overall, considering the first 20 minutes and at half-time we 2-0 down this is a great result.

In 2 games we have created more chances and showed more attacking mindset than the in the past 3 years. Masouras kai Kolovos can help; I like Siovas btw. The one that I don't like is bakakis; we should find a better option. Fourtounis was very good; Zeka's versatility is huge.

At the time I didn't want him coming in when I saw the change.. I was wrong on that call.

I hope the Anastasiadis has seen now the correct team over the 2 matches. He has made many good decisions but still needs to fully commit to it. It will be crucial for the Italy match to start with the right 11!

I think Kolovo is on the upswing in his career. That was a gutsy, hungry header. I'll wait before I pass judgement on him. He saved us today.

As much as I criticized the coach for the mistake to start the game I give him full credit for making in game adjustments and changing the style to at the very least give us a chance.. Hopefuly now he sees unless we are playing a superpower we need to come out with speed and creativity and not just sit back and take the pressure..

Bosnia should be embarrassed to have come out with even that point. They had no right. Red card or not, the tide had turned a while ago. Their goals were both flukes. We cannot start scared anymore. Get the right players on and make a game out of it right away, for god's sake! How many times will we concede early before we wake up. Same thing vs Croatia last year.

That was unbelievable. Disappointed that we didn't come away with the 3 points, but a thrilling game for a change. If Anastasiadis comes out with the defensive scheme again vs Italy then today's comeback will be in vain. Enough with that garbage loser mentality. It will continue to plague this team. Good on the coach for going for the win in the end though.

I was gunna go to a greek bar to watch it after first 20 minutes i was glad I didn't by end of the game I wish I did. Just watched at home. we really have a bad habit of being brain dead first third of matches and then wake up. sokratis was pretty bad. siovas was actually much better and good building play at the back. koutris was really good second half. fortounis was tricky for their defense but also made some plays that lost us the ball. donis can't be solo striker, should've started koulouris there and we would've for sure gotten another goal (instead of bouchalakis who was useless) masouras was good and breathe of fresh air as well. I still don't rate kolovos and think that was a lucky header but thanks for scoring. zeca was amazing as usually and saved us from going down 3-0 great game. bosnia and greece have quite a rivalry. I'm glad both sides kept it relatively classy, helping each other up etc. sokratis classy for the injury kicking the ball away from play (but sokratis looked like he lacked spirit to me unno)

The one thing I will say about the way they play is that this version of the ethniki def hustles more than the one from the past campaign..

Koutris has been excellent over the two games. A real stand out for me. Don't even miss Staf. Or Holebas.
