  1. This is a excellent draw! Italy is not the best pot 1 team in the group. This is very doable. As long as Greece performs like a team that wants to win can finish either first or second in the group.

  2. It was a stroke of luck that Greece avoided Belgium, France and Spain who are the toughest sides in Pot 1 and dodging Germany was crucial. In this group we should be able to get 2nd . Bosnia tend to lose or drop points to weaker sides as was the case last WCUP qualifying when Cyprus beat them. I could see them faltering vs Finland and maybe even Armenia. If Greece are sharp and at there best will be punching our ticket to Euro 2020!

  3. Zeca even sings the National Anthem while Mitroglou doesn't. That really pisses me off.

  4. Speaking of births and deaths, the Europeans (2018 Ageing Report) claim that: 1) The current population of Greece is 10.8 million. By 2060 the population of Greece will be ~8.3 million. 2) As of now 14.4% of the population is 14 years old or younger. By 2060 ~11.8% of the population will be 14 years old or younger. 3) Presently, 6.6% of the population is 80 years old or older. By 2060 ~17.2% , of the population will the 80 years old or older,. 4) As of now 106,200 Greeks are 90 years old or older. By 2060 ~392,200 Greeks will be 90 years old or older. If this report is more or less correct, I would expect that all the Greek-patriots within the Greek diaspora will a) Return to Greece and maniacally procreate, b) Become native speakers of the Greek language and c) Through their postings at Phantis, will help us to learn the language of our ancestors.

  6. OK, so you are saying that it is Savvidis problem that Alafouzos destroyed Panathinaikos and Panathinaikos does not have anymore the team to thrive in Champions League? And by the way, you are keep referring to the past as in twenty years ago. Would you like to be reminded what Panathianikos did the last five times he played in Europe? You suffered two eliminations and in three appearances in EL group stage you received in total 8 points! 2016-17 you got 1 point in the Europa League group stage 2015-16 you were eliminated by Gabala and didn't make it to the group stage of Europa League 2014-15 you got 2 points in the Europa League group stage 2012-13 you got 5 points in the Europa League group stage 2011-12 you were eliminated by Maccabi and didn't even make it to the EL group stage I certainly do not want to diminish Panathinaikos, but take a look in the mirror before you blame Savvidis for everything.

  8. If Greece are ready and have no injury issues then we should get 6 points from Liechenstein and Armenia most likely by 1-0 score lines but will take the wins. Finland I believe will pose some trouble if we can beat them in Finland that will be key as Greece always struggle there. Bosnia wanted no part of us, with the rivalry that has developed they would have preferred any other pot 4 side.Last campaign they got a draw in Athens with the OG of Pjanic free kick but Greece came back in injury time to take a point with Tzavellas wonder goal. In Bosnia Greece had the best chances to take all 3 points but Mantalos huge miss cost us there. Defensively the Bosnians can be exploited, I still see us getting a result in Bosnia we just have to wait and grind them down and take our chance. Italy will be hungry to rebound from missing the World Cup, but they dont boast a formidable lineup as they always use to. Veratti is there best and most influential player in the midfield. Chiellini is a great defender but he is getting up in age and up front they struggle to score goals. In goal Donnarumma is a great young talent but he has struggled a bit at club and in Nations League matches, not having the steadying influence of Buffon could hurt them. I think for the match in Greece the team will come out ready to play vs a huge footballing nation as they did vs Belgium, a win here would set us up well as it will be the third match of qualifying campaign.
