Which is why you play 2 up front..get the ball out wide to Toro or Koutris and launch cross after cross to mitroglou and koulouris. The extra mid is useless as we dont have the quality to construct play. Instead we preffered to play a training session of sideways and backwards..finland probably cant believe how easy that 2nd half was.3 points

Stay on side FFS. Finland look like a Sunday League team, we should be winning 3-0 by now.3 points
-
Because Skibbe was the manager for most of this run.2 points

I guess I'm just not as upset as you guys because I'd already given up on winning the group. This win represents progress. Vlachodimos kept a clean sheet in his debut, the lineup is already way different than Skibbe, things will only get better.2 points

I don’t understand why not go all out.. if we don’t score another goal Finland win the group..2 points

I think we look good. not happy with wings selections but if the inches went our way it could've been 2 or 3-0. Sokratis post and Torosidis header slightly above across bar. first 10 minuets we were shaky but we looked the better team the other 40 mins siovas looks good he has decent vision and long ball skills. glad he's on the side. manolas is a loss because he's proven to be a big aerial threat. I think siovas manolas and sokratis should all be starting given the option because our defense does give them a little too much space sometimes an extra cb might fix this. lazaros and donis on the wings would be lethal with fetfa as super sub as you will. squad selection isn't that much different but siovas and odysseas additions are positive. torosidis still has it but he'll be gassed for sure by 60th so probably gotta sub him. not sure who the 3rd sub should be.2 points

That should have been 2-0.2 points

The tie-breaking criteria for all Uefa competitions the Nations league included is the head to head record. So us beating Finland 3-0 would give us a better head to head record and if we were to draw level with them on points on the last match day we would come first based on that record. If we were to beat them 2-0 it would get a little complicated. Basically it would come down to goal difference because we would be tied in all other tiebreaking criteria's. Which are Superior goal difference in matches played among the teams in question; Higher number of goals scored in the matches played among the teams in question; Higher number of goals scored away from home in the matches played among the teams in question;2 points

I’m done with Mantalos he is garbage... Him and Bakasetas should not be on this team.. Pelkas has not been good either... We need Donis healthy because he would be our best option... I understand The coach wanted to get the win and see what he is working with and maybe more then going for the 2nd goal and exposing our back end maybe he thought the win would be a confidence booster going forward.. It’s the only reason why he wouldn’t push forward and go with 2 strikers imo... The fact that he cut Tzioils and Tzavellas and said he is going to bring some players from the under 21 needs to be encouraging to all of us.. Yes the style of the NT will NEVER be pretty and we will always struggle to score goals but I do have faith in this coach that he will eventually make the right moves.. The game against estonia now that the match doesn’t mean anything is a good time for him to experiment with his line up.. I thought Koutris looked good today...1 point

Positives: Vlahodimos played well; he is by far the best golie we have with the ball on his feet. I liked Kourtis; watched him first time but played well, husled, good crosses. Siovas looks good; better than K Pap. Fortounis (in form), sokratis & zeka (for what he does) played well. Toro showed that he has the quality no other RB has. Negatives: Mantalos, Mantalos, Mantalos We need wingers; add Limnios and Xatzigiovanis like yesterday.1 point

I'm an AEK fan. Angelos please for the love of God don't ever start Mantalos again. He's so s%$#! for the NT. Garbage.1 point

today we were the better team and if we played the way we played today whole campaign we'd probably be top of the group. sucks that we are out but most of us didn't think we'd do it. it was a long shot. it was more to see a glimpse of ange's tactics. It's an improvement. he just needs to up the wing play and i'm confident he will since he already improved the squad with vlacho and siovas in his first game. koutris looked great out there too was impressed we have some nice depth at lb. would be great to get holebas back for one last campaign dude is on fiiiiire this season one of the best LB's in PL1 point

You are right, but leaving out Lazaros and Fetfa was a sin. He was left with no other attacking player than impotent Bakaseta to sub on in the last few minutes. Bakasetas is always guaranteed to suck. I don't want to stress on Fetfa, and people on these boards have made solid arguments against him being frail and having no finish, but I don't care, with 10 minutes left he could change the pace of the game 100x better than Bakasetas.1 point

donis and lazaros with fetfa super sub fam that's what we need. rest of squad is okay. maybe mantalos for kourbelis MAYBE. at cm.1 point

This team knew what they needed before the match and still played with no intensity nor took any real risks. The saddest part is my father follows Ipswich town who is last in championship. I asked him besides Manolas and Sokratis if he would want any of the players on a last place english championship team... he said he couldnt think of anyone who would improve their team. This team is a train wreck.1 point

Fkn disgraceful. Ashamed to be a fan of this team. Play 2 up front m#$%! no reason to take Mitroglou off when you need another goal.1 point

Watch out now boys here comes a goal Bakasetas is coming on... ???1 point

We're doing their job for them.1 point

It's the case most games.1 point

Greece should have been up 2-0 if not 3-0 already, they should be dominating this match with ease. Not trying to sound cocky here.1 point
-
Greece does a whole of nothing with the ball in their own half passing it back and forth with each other. I wonder if they practice that.1 point

Guaranteed there will more fans at the games in Crete or anywhere else in Greece for that matter. The only problem is the pitch in Crete judging from yesterday's game by PAOK. It's in horrible shape.1 point

Pelkas made a poor decisions. Mantalos no better. We are looking better with Anastasiadis though.1 point

Jesus Christ you'd think we were down 4-0 based on these comments. Just because you change manager doesn't mean your team automatically learns to play fluid attacking football. It wasn't pretty but we have a lead. It's what the Ethniki was best at for a decade! It can be better but so far so good imo. More goals there to take but finland have some pace up top and will be (and have been in the 1st half) dangerous on the counter1 point

How empty is our stadium wow... so pathetic..1 point

If we had a good left winger he would have a party down the left hand side1 point

At last. Own goal, lol But see how easy it is to score, a good cross and a good header and bang 1-0. Why can't we do simple things like that more often?1 point

OG..Great run and cross from Torosidis1 point
-
Our attack has been horrible tbh. Tell you what though, Koutris has a wonderful cross1 point

it was kourmbeli just ran into a wall of 3 Finnish players. He hasn't looked confident on the ball in the first 10mins1 point

Vlachodimos starting and getting his first cap for the ETHNIKI is great! No Bakasetas too!! PA ME ELLADA!1 point
-
Yes without bakasetas…….1 point

In all honesty I hope we see a 3-5-2 because that means Bakasetas won’t start.1 point
-
Yeah Karelis and Bakasetas don’t deserve to be called up. Same could be said for Mantalos and Pelkas.1 point
