  1. Excellent performance by Oly, hopefully they can see this through next week. Awful biased coverage in the UK media about the ref and the Greek players intimidating officials. The match stats seem to escape these people. Possession 68% -32% shots 17 - 3 on target 6 -1 corners 7-2 Seems pretty comprehensive to me. Good to see Fortounis get his mojo back. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45278531

  4. Yeah hopefully he can do the same with Greece. Bouchalakis played well also. He is not as slow as people say. He is not the fastest but propably has the same pace as Samaris. He is way better than Tziolis. He loves playing long cross field balls. He presses well at times and can be a threat inside the box. He scored off a header and almost scored another one few minutes after. I dont if he is the answer for the midfield but is way better than Tziolis. He can be a little more ambitious with his passing as Podence made a lot runs in behind the defence. He joins the attack at times when needed. Samaris dosent do that for the national team. Also he looks more motivated than Taxi. As for Galanopoulos. We have our future star midfielder. He will be the key to our midfield in years to come. I saw the match AEK played against Vidi. I also think he is good enough to start for our midfield. He keeps possession well and has lots of energy. He also joins the attack and creates an opportunity. These are positive signs for our midfield. It will be interesting to see who starts alongside Zeca.

  5. it should have been tachtsidis and samaris in the middle but they s%$#! the bed in terms of form. those two also huge reason why we didn't qualify for euro 2016. they were supposed to hold the torch after katsouranis and karagounis retired

  7. Arsenal fans are the most obnoxious I've ever seen. Most of them had their mind made up on Sokratis before he hit the pitch and are looking for anything to reinforce their prejudice. They played Man City and Chelsea. Couldn't have asked for a more difficult first two games while he is still in the midst of getting comfortable; Best team in PL Man City and London rival powerhouse Chelsea. He has been very good. The players around him, including his midfield have not helped whatsoever as they got outplayed in both games. His partner, Mustafi, does not make things easier either as Sokrati is clearly the better of the two. Their comments on lack of pace, they really don't know what they are talking about. His robust style of play make fans that don't know much about him assume that he is slow, which is quite the opposite, as he was considered one of the quickest CBs in the Bundesliga. Most fans just read the misinformation on twitter and reiterate it without knowing much. Has he slowed down? Maybe a bit, I don't know. Maybe not. They call him old, yet he just turned 30 in June, which is prime for a CB. Like I said, obnoxious and they don't seem to rate players from Greece, which doesn't help their opinions. Paokarag4, you are right though, the mature, educated Arsenal fan is getting won over by two solid performances in the toughest of circumstances.
