the players want him around. not a surprise considering with A FCVKING SANE coach they would never get called up(talking about vellios, diamantakos, gianniotas, tziolis, tzavellas, kolovetsion, maniatis) but instead you'd see more of siovas, cholebas, vlachodimos, mpakakis, koutris, karelis, kourmpelis etc with is something that the scrubs don't want to see. change the coach and you'll notice a big difference in our quality. i mean really how come and this group of players is ignored for a bunch of headless chicken? and then we wonder why we didn't make it to the world cup.......

j, i have seen enough as well....but we are stuck...and what concerns me even more is that the players are gonna quit on him...remember he threw them all under the bus after the first game claiming " i did nothing wrong"........ meanwhile the players are on the side YELLING at maniatis and tzavellas to get in position..... i mean seriously.

the world cup will come and go quickly. especially with the new year near. its up to us to work hard to make sure we have a good qualifying campaing for euro 2020. they always say that sometimes its best to miss out on a tournament for rebuild purposes. however the euro 2016 campaign really killed us. now we will be 6 years without a major tournament as opposed to 4. its not uncommon its just crap when you see a country finally get it right in 04 and didn't really build on it. unfortunately for us the ranieri era really hurt us. we should of looked at a coach similar to rehagle and santos This nations league gives me hope.

I have a feeling that Retsos will overtake Papadopoulos in the CB pecking order by the time the NL comes around next year. I don't know how I feel about that, but I really like both players. I think we should play to our strength though and try out 3 CBs in the upcoming friendlies.

I agree with you J1078, in the two biggest games he will ever coach for the NT he got the lineup and his tactics wrong. The first game in Croatia he should have set us up as he did in Belgium very tight at the back. Belgium were in clear frustration the whole match until they finally scored late.That game he made better subs calling on Zeca in his debut and he came in and ran with the Belgians. The 2nd leg in Athens we need to score 3 goals and the lineup that he went with was as if we were up 3 goals and we showed no urgency to attack a Croatian side that was sitting back and inviting us to attack. Playing Tziolis and Samaris who can't make simple passes and screw up our attack when they have the ball in the last third is mind boggling. As for Skibbe if he doesn't stay on it opens the door for Holebas to possibly return to the fold, which is a huge upgrade.

A BIG BIG MISTAKE TO BRING BACK THIS COACH... He is so incompetent with his call ups and his subs, he also gets very easily out coached... We would still have Holebas if it was for this guy... Really not making Holebas a regular starter...WTF.... I do understand the players want him but its a mistake and I don't think we qualify for the euros with this coach not with his style and call ups... Say what you want about his so called success this year the fact of the matter is he should his competence in the biggest two games and it was a complete epic fail and for that reason he needs to go.

If you remember just a small fact, that Skibbe first game in charge he played Holebas and Pelkas on the wings with Mitroglou and Karelis as the 2 strikers. The last time he played with 2 strikers was against Iceland in a friendly.

Three DM's during the moments where we need full on attacking players. Skibbe has reached an amazing level of stupidity which is unexplainable. I am mesmerised at the level of incompetence this man has shown. He often fails to make the right decisions when a match is in the balance. Fetfa and Holebas still strike me as x factor types as is Donis and our CB's. Faroe Islands are really Iceland.

We are in good company' Italy are out. Why do they wear blue? Skibbe cannot make quality clutch decisions during matches to suit the circumstance. He must go.

Maybe it would have been better if we had drawn Italy instead? after watching them play the playoff games were they did not score and even before that in qualifying were they struggled vs some of the weak sides in there group.

Now there's some consolation Italy out of the World Cup!!!! I feel better already.

Karelis is not good on the wing. We all saw that against Estonia.

I don’t rate fortounis at all.. I would rather see karelis up with mitroglou. Fortounis isn’t skilled enough to float around the field. We really need Samaris to move on and nail down a starting role. That would allow Samaris and Zeca to be the starting cm. We could even have karelis as the LW and move donis to the #10 role.

I agree. I think Ouzounidis is a coach that wants to develop young Greek players. Just like Chatzigiovannis. He is not there yet it he has some sort of talent that can be taken to the next step. I though Vlachodimos the winger was going to be a big player, but look how life turns out. Same can be said for Tatos, Ninis and Fetfatzidis.

skibbeeeeeeeeeee is a big contributor to the problem. how can u leave three defensive mids in at 54 minutes when u take off lazaro (an offensive guy) for another offensive guy? i mean this just makes no sense....there is no hidden, cryptic football insight here that we dont see...it was just plain illogical....can anyone explain that? his in game adjustmetns are painful...

yesterdays game was worse than the first one. forget the score. game one we made three uncharacteristically bad mistakes in one game and got punished for it...even so we had BETTER (although not high quality) chances to score in that game. game two croatia parked the bus and gave us space in the middle of the field so at least play some soccer and create SOMETHING...WEC OULDNT DO NOTHING ....hOW CAN YOU GET THREE GOALS IF U DONT EVEN HAVE THREE SHOTS ON GOAL !!!!!!! please.....taxidis/smaris/fourtounis etc...they are all mediocre at best, foutournis the most puzzling and frustrating since he has some ability....NOBODY stepped up...NOBODY did ANYTHING you can point to and say "yeah thats a player" they had their chance under the best conditions to show SOMETHING...... not questionning their heart or determination ---- they just not that good, and any team going forward must be reshaped with this in mind.... giannoitis came in and made some noise....that was it...

The good thing with Mitroglou is that he is a killer. The bad thing is that he is already 30 and we still haven't had any promise to come after him in the CenterForward position.
