After having my dinner my thoughts are straightened and this is how I see it. We lost together. Oh yes, Klaous should have scored more. Shakov should have. Leovac should have kept his hands from Viergever's body or positioned better. Ivic should have made another choice (a Mak-type for the tet-a-tet) or subbed earlier or not leaving Pelkas out of the squad. If If If, should should should. Tomorrow the sun will rise again. I will be PAOK again. Till the day I die. For better or for worse. And I will look again. And again in agony. It will hurt sometimes. And someday we will win a kypelo or protathlima, but we will suffer more. That is the essence of being a supporter of clubs of the people like PAOK, Schalke or Liverpool. Even Atletico, where the supporters are called the sufferers. Friday the sun comes up again and there will be a draw. With our next opponent and next dreams etc. etc. Keep your heads up. PAOK imaste!!!6 points

The day Pao would get an owner like Marinakis is the day i stop following them. How can you be proud of having a drug dealer owner?4 points

Agreed. We did a great game. The early goal was absolutely astonishing. The players gave everything despite some mistakes, but c'mon, I've seen some really terrible games from us. This ain't one. If Mystakidis header goes in we are playing in the playoffs, not Ajax. And nobody has to blame anyone. But that's football, sometimes dokari kai mesa and other times dokari kai exw. As for the fans, mpravo sta palikaria mas!! The atmosphere was bombastic! Ajax played like Xanthi, not like the Ajax I know. Good game with really bad luck for us in the end.3 points

let them sit in their own bubble here they are saying wed jump at the chance of having marinakis and his success hahaha umm he was within an inch of getting killed in leoforos by a fotovolida. you can stick your petsina where the sun doesnt shine id rather an empty trophy cabinet than a fat slob who has only reinvested cl money ( none of his own ) due to compromising the local bbq league along with epo and their satelite teams who open their legs entos kai ektos like the local prostitutes in kings cross3 points

I get that but its the way he does things is concerning. I wouldnt want an owner of my club being a drug dealer and a cheat. Head and shoulders above the rest in being dodgy or professional? anyways this video is gold :)     https://www.facebook.com/Skotsos1/videos/vb.965853653466848/1183270928391785/?type=2&theater3 points

Great post Eagle. Agree 100% CL was a dream and will continue to be a dream. Realistically we are not yet ready to make the group stage of CL. We should now concentrate on Europa league and Superleague. Hopefully we have an easy draw tomorrow and we can make the El group stage. Our goal should be to qualify from the group stage into the Round of 32 and why not Round of 16. Let's stay positive and i am sure things will get better.2 points

Europe League Playoff round it is. Draw is on Friday. PAOK will be seeded and should be draw against an "easy" team. Qualifying from the group stage of Europa League should be the goal this season.2 points

Greeko, calm down and have a Beer (no pun intended) W out threats to refs, Oly continues to prove that they cannot win. It's the same crap every year, At best, oly seasons usually last till Christmas and then it's over. Panatha has left a name for themselves in Europe. What our eyes have seen, u will never know the feeling. Just because the years of corruption is finally catching up, don't run and blame others. Have a nice day.2 points

I really don't understand how the topic of Kokkali overspending often comes up. Although he did spend money for players, Marinaki (aside from this season) hasn't been too far behind. If we take Sokrati's last full five summer off-seasons, you'll notice that although he made some nice signings, he didn't break the bank - some of his most prominent transfers: Summer of 2005: Konstantinou (free), Yaya Toure (2.7M) and a few other others who weren't very notable (Babangida, Kapsis) Summer of 2006: TERRIBLE off-season.. We needed a defensive upgrade and he brought in four free agents: Zewlakow, Julio Cesar, Ouaddou, Domi Summer of 2007: Sold Castillo for a good chunk of change and bought Galleti, Lua Lua, Ledesma, brought back Antza (free), Kovacevic (free) Summer of 2008: Great off-season, Avraam Papadopoulo, Diogo and Dudu were purchased, Leto was brought in on loan (funny enough transfers were made late so we lost to Anorthosi) Summer of 2009: Soft summer - aside from signing Mellberg and Derbyshire, Maresca ended up being a flop (aside from his memorable screamers)1 point

We reached the final 8 in 1999, the final 16 in 2008, 2010, 2014. Once again getting your sources from leoforos.gr1 point

Can't really blame Klaus exclusively for not qualifying. Sakhov missed a sure goal as well and then there was the Mystakidis crossbar. I was more disappointed in the way we played in the 2nd half. It almost looked like we were happy with 1;1 tie and taking it into extra time/penalties. This Ajax team was ready to go down. PAOK and the ref just let them get back into the game. CF that is better than Klaus and Koulouris is a must. Hopefully Brkic pans out to be a good keeper and pushes Glykos into backup role. Also i am not conviced we got a "dekari" that will make the difference. Pelkas certainly is not the answer.1 point

Word on the street is Savvidis is not happy with the lost chances. Put your alligator arms deep in your pockets comrade, and bring a CF with the killer instinct. I like Klaus, but yesterday was inexcusable.1 point

what's the point of buying up young Greek talent if you actually have to play them? Much better to loan them out constantly and stall their careers...1 point

Our ranking is 52, behind Panama, Scotland, South Korea, Iran and Albania. Players like Fetfatzides are rare talent, who on their day can win a match or turn a match. As long as he's fit, at 26 he should at least be a squad player for the NT. Never really got a chance under Santos. He can control a ball, pass it, dribble, run with it and shoot it, better than most in the squad. He's also got smarts on the field as that video shows. Not good to be dismissing talented players given our current ranking.1 point

Perhaps Kolovos and Gianniotas (who scored for APOEL in their champions league qualifier) were worth keeping when you look at the lack of creativity at Olympiakos.1 point

Spending big does not always bring success either, I'm saying we need to build a team, a unit, revolving door personnel policy to a minimum, more consistency and long term vision.1 point

Tzatziki I don't mean to offend you, because I know your a proud supporter of Olympiakos, but the honest truth is your club is as currupt as they come. Come on re, don't you remember back in 2007 or 2008 when AEK won the Protathlima fair and square, and Olympiakos lost the match to Apollon Kalamarias (the last place team). I believe Apollon subbed an unilegible player on in the 90th minute. Common, you can't be that blind. There is so much controversy and even die hard facts about Marinakis' corruption, and I'm a believer that where there's smoke there's fire.1 point

I'm the first to complain about Marinakis's lack of transfers this off-season but be realistic XXX-18T, you would kill to have an owner like Marinaki. This isn't the first time we are playing qualifiers in August, it happened in 2008 and 2009 as well for Champions League and Marinaki was not around back then. How is he to blame for the National team? And aside from the past 10 years, when was the National team a powerhouse that Marinaki ruined it? I realize that many of you are envious of an owner who although is not the spender we all would like, is still someone who will put his hands in his pockets when he needs to. He did it in 2010 when we got eliminated in Europa, he did it in the summer of 2013 when we needed upgrades and I'm sure he will do it this summer as well.1 point

I'm an Olympiako fan, my immediate concern is my club, any consideration I might lend elsewhere will always be in relation to my club's fortunes. Marinaki is treating the club very well in most aspects, no comparison to the V's. Of course we want more and there are things we don't like. But in Greece, he is the benchmark, and head and shoulders above the rest.1 point

We will get working on this asap, you don't happen to have the blueprints from the removal of the Vardinogianni cancer lying around by chance? It certainly worked out great for you all.1 point

Its a shame no Greek team has made CL Whether its OSFP or PAOK. Unfortunately Marinakis is to blame for destroying not only Greek League but also the National Team with the corruption. At the end of the day Marinakis cares about himself and no one else. He has raped and pillaged the Greek League and Olympiakos. Vangelis will bail now that there is no guaranteed CL money coming in and concentrate on his new project. Not sure what the future holds for Olympiakos but there is hope for the Greek League as it will allow AEK, PAOK, and PAO to compete again which will restore the strength of the Greek League. The next 5 years are crucial but this is a blessing in disguise. The Oly fans need to get rid of the cancer Marinakis!1 point

marinakis is implicated has been clamped down like a blow torch coaches flee after winning titles ( red flag???) i think so selling roberto and friends they get the 50-50 against camel fc and lose over 2 legs1 point

I understand his frustration. What can we do when we put our souls and passion in to our clubs that should be our pride but they dissapoint. Whether it's Oly or PAO or PAOK or AEK. It's just deflating. I feel for everyone on these forums and especially in Greece. PAOK fans will feel equally bad.1 point

Dikefale that's a good point, sure they may not want to develop from first team as they want success, but what are they doing in their academy? Tzatziki any idea what goes on there? Being serious now not taking the piss.1 point

Tzatziki its ok mate the loss of CL money can be replaced by the cash flow from Noor11 point

All these years in the Champions league Marinakis did nothing for his team and the sheep who clapped for him. Now, after he destroyed Greek soccer being a member of a criminal organization, has his team playing qualifiers and had since last Christmas to make it happen and what did he do? NOTHING. TZIGGER # 2. Only for himself! KSEUTILES OUT!1 point

Why should everyone get banned for just because oly flopped it today? Seriously every oly fan was bagging paok for the kypello drama now You want everyone banned? Ridiculous.... If oly win you wouldn't be saying that1 point
